@HunterRose Huh, yeah I think Clint Mansell only contributed to the ME3 soundtrack, and as far as I know, it was only a handful of tracks. I may be wrong though.
My favorite have to be the Jimmy Hinson tracks from ME2, including the "combat" tracks. So intense. Same with the Lair of the Shadow Broker ME2 DLC tracks. But the whole series soundtrack is great and fits together so well, despite all the different contributors.
Maybe I'll have to revisit ME:A someday. I remember being ok with the mechanics, but the characters, story, and dialogue just didn't grab me.
@Hunter_Rose I was just about to post exactly this (re: Mass Effect trilogy score) when I scrolled past your comment. It's an amazing set of music. I have a 6.5 hour playlist and have listened to it more times than I can even guess. Even ME: Andromeda has some solid tracks, but that game was such a letdown that I rarely feel the need to listen to the music.
Additionally:
Elder Scrolls III, IV, and V (Jeremy Soule is great)
Voice of Zelda as in the one from BotW? Uh... yeah I'll pass. Lol. I had my issues with that game in general, but enjoyed it for the most part. The voice acting, though, was unforgivably bad and cringe-worthy. Oof.
In all seriousness, can someone explain why people revere him so much? I don't follow the particulars of Nintendo's business closely enough to know the history, so I've always been curious why he seems to be so venerated by so many.
The title should be "... Getting A Suspicious Number Of 10/10 Metacritic User Reviews". "Amount" is used for non-discrete/non-countable things, e.g., praise, love, etc.
FF6 was great and unforgettable. Oddly, his "fill-in" music on Chrono Trigger I thought was pretty lackluster. Maybe it was because the primary composer - Yasunori Mitsuda - did such an amazing job that anything else was going to pale in comparison.
Regardless, very sad to hear this. I wish him the best.
Unfortunately the voice acting, this person's included, was pretty horrendous in that game. It may have been more the quality (or lack thereof) of the director, as that can have quite an impact on how an actor is guided along the process. It also didn't help that the writing was often stilted and awkward. It's difficult to sound genuine when reading lines that just don't sound right. Nintendo should have invested more in these areas.
In any case, actors like this certainly don't deserve to be harassed. Critical response is totally fair and to be expected, particularly with a beloved franchise like this. And it's too bad when negative feedback makes someone doubt themselves and feel bad. But that's the risk when putting yourself out there in creative endeavors.
@Dragonslacker1 "I wonder what they will do in 4 . Exploring multiple planets like 3 and have them larger? More customisable gear?"
I sure hope not. Larger zones, yes, but the planet jumping and overall structure of MP3 was lame and, to me, ran counter to the soul of Metroid. I hope they go back to the claustrophobic feel of past titles. "Open world"? Please no.
Also really hope they put a lot of focus on the music. That's another area where MP3 fell down hard. Even MP2 was a bit lackluster. Music is hugely important for me, so I hope they give it the right amount of attention. I remember reading an interview a while back with Jeremy Soule (of Elder Scrolls fame, and Guild Wars 2, and others) where he said the franchise he most wanted to do the music for is Metroid. I highly doubt Nintendo will take him up on it, but I sure hope I'm wrong. Would be a-ma-zing to hear what he would come up with.

Re: Feature: Best Super Nintendo (SNES) Games
@gaga64 Ah ok. That seems strange to include those dates instead of the original release dates on, ya know, the actual SNES. Lol.
Re: Feature: Best Super Nintendo (SNES) Games
What's with the bogus release dates listed? Sim City in 2006? ActRaiser in 2007? Hmm...
