Whoa, what? TWO TRAIN WRECKS ON WiiWare!? I know we get our fair share of the unplesant game but THIS... this is an insult! No, this is downright wrong. I understand they have to make a living too, I'm usually overly optimistic or pessimistic about things but really, WHY!? They can flood the shelves, I don't care, I don't get out much. But the Wii Shop Channel is where I get a majority of my games. Nintendo has TWO WiiWare openings weekly! And to think, better games being pushed back for this crap, and the enraging part, people go out and BUY this stuff because it's either cheap or so-called cute. People really need to stop falling for this crap, it's getting annoying. I thought WiiWare was a place new developers show their talents with what they can do, not another mouth to shove their s*** down. Neko Entertainment, if you are reading this i have this message for you: You cannot make a good game, your scores are averaged to sub-par at best, and if you of all people have the audacity, arrogance, and sheer stupidity to release any more of your poorly developed, underpowered, space taking, time consuming, rehashed TURDS on WiiWare, I will make sure one way or another you NEVER show your face to ANY download service again. Get bent and burn in hell you jack***es. I apologise for going off like that again.
._. No, no, no, just no. You don't make a wacky chariot racing game. I'm all for fun ideas but I sense gimmicky, rickety controls from it, combine this with it's previous abomination, just...no. This is a complete and utter insult to Greek Mythology. I hope Poseidon washes you out, and Zeus strikes you with lightning Neko. If this gets lower than I six, I give this porter the Epic Failure badge. Sorry for the ramble, bellyaching, and complaining, but them, just.... no.
Hmm, I wouldn't write it off as bad. But that just accounts for the fact that I am a sucker for platformers. Well, I hope to see this as a good addition to the WiiWare family. If not, I will unmercifully bag on it until it seeps from the top 20 if it makes it.
Wow, people are justifying their complaints with actual logic now! I must say, although the complaining is a bit old, the logic certainly suits it. Here's what I have to say about their one game releases: I don't mind it, it's just when they put it to a certain theme, that's when it gets on my nerves. If you go look at press.nintendo.com they like to add a certain way of releasing it, completly alienating people who are not a big fan of the franchise, making them have to wait yet another week. If they're going to make releases I likke it when the game makeup is random, giving at least most people something they like.
My eyes are burning, and this is in a good tense. These visuals are stunning for a WiiWare game, now for the gameplay, these look like good ideas but the gameplay better not be a total mess in others' opinions(refrences P*******n). So I'm saying good work, the gameplay better match the visuals. But for price I'm guessing 1000-1200.
@105 your concetration bi-weekly is better than ours. It evens out. But for another main topic at hand with subpar releases I can't exactly excuse Nintendo for it but I can certainly understand for a reason stated above, now as for WiiWare, it is certainly getting disappointing now. I know Nintendo can't have spectacular releases every week, but this is getting just sad. I personally believe they shouldn't theme their Wii-kly updates. Because if you go to press.nintendo.com you can tell before the initial announcement of the games at hand, match a certain theme. This week was single player theme. I'm not going to dog them but we all know they should make a few revisions instead of these themes that alienate people.
I wholeheartedly apologise to anyone who did not deserve that rant, and I appreciate that you quietly wait for what Nintendo releases every week, and to those who at least don't complain. glares at NA & EU
.. You people are SO jaded nowadays. Here's the thing: Nintendo releases, people buy, wait a week, another game, etc. So it's sub-par, SO WHAT!? I'm waiting my butt off for more Kirby, and you don't see me b****ing saying, "where is it?" and "this sucks!" Really, you people can't wait a FEW weeks for a game you might like. News flash: it isn't all about _YOU, it about NINTENDO making fat stacks of cash! And Europe don't you get freaking craploads of ONE KIND EVERY TWO WEEKS. "I want it now!" and "America's so spoiled!" let's begin shall me, the average wiiware games for Europe is roughly 4 per month AT THE LEAST. America has 4 per month AT THE LEAST. Look, you just get everything in different concentrations, GOD FORBID it looks like someone's getting pampered from getting some quality once in a while. BIG WHOOP! Look, I'm not excusing Nintendo(in all regions) for their mishaps and bad habits they're seeming to game. But you all are getting jaded and immature OVER GAMES THAT ARE DISTRIBUTED ON A REGULAR BASIS. No, let's just have 1 Wiiware or virtual console games that is in your eyes quality, SCREWING those who might not like it bi-monthly so it will please all your freaking worries because they're only releasing games that YOU like! Frog out...
Get Animal Crossing. Super Mario Galaxy begins to feel more like a chore after you finish the initial 60 star goal. Although if you don't learn to enjoy the full Animal Crossing experience, you'll get bored quickly with that also.
@Clayfrd-You just contradicted yourself there. How can you say I'm right about there being no casual or "hardcore" games, but you said in your opinion there is? It's pretty backwards how you would say Guitar Hero: World Tour is casual but Super Mario Galaxy is not? Why classify every single game because of a "casual" or "hardcore" premise?
Bob: hey Joe! Look at what I found, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess for $40!
Joe: Sorry, I won't understand or enjoy it because it's a hardcore game. Let's get a casual game instead. holds up Mario Kart Wii
Bob: Eww! Casual game! I don't want it! I need something that has a certain title to win my approval!
If this is what you've all stooped down to for the deciding factor for buying a game, my hope and respect for society just took a substantial drop because god forbid we buy anything that's fun but might be considered "casual" in their eyes.
Brings me back to the point that they're money grubbing [insert word](s). Why bother bickering over such things. Anyone with eyes can see that there is no such thing as hardcore and casual!
Wow, you people are so argumentative. "It's hardcore!" and "It's casual!". Sad really, while the bickering continues, Nintendo just rolls around in their fat stacks of money, continuing to laugh. Nintendo doesn't make JUST hardcore games, nor casual games. They're just looking for their buck. If you like buy it, if you don't leave it. Why be petty over such frivolous things? I mean COME ON, Alex had to knock you down a couple of pegs just to set some of you straight. Just buy it and get over it.
On topic: The Jakks Pacific of WiiWare has arrived! Oh joy!
Wait, there might be hope yet for those who don't really want Strong Bad this week. Nintendo's Reggie Fils-Aime might pull off a pseudo-houdini and do a good ol' switcharoo. Remember what some random jerk at Nintendo said: the Wii-kly update is something something, but it's the only one who can confirm WiiWare releases. Bad side, we might get some other random crap...
Okay, I just read the review for The Incredible Maze. If they can screw a simple maze game down to a 2, this might just be a steaming pile of crap. I can see it now, use this amazing game by twisting your Wii Remote, and we've got a few more twists for you! Possible EPIC FAIL!
But on topic, I'm not writing off this game as bad already, but let me ask you this question. If the game is crap, and you add more levels and features, is it still crap? Just because they have so many levels doesn't mean there might be an impossible interface or trying to add modes with their own takes on it, etc.
@KnucklesSonic8-I'm with you and I am a strong supporter of plättchen. Bought it and was the best 1000 points I ever spent(but sector 2-5 is so freaking HARD).
But, on topic, it looks like the charts are how they should be except for a select few in my opinion.
Wow, a 3/10. Well I know what I won't be using my 1500 wii points for. I might get lost winds and my aquarium DYC instead.rather get get two decent game than one big pile of fail.
Buuuuuuuuuut, I maight take the plunge if I'm not in a good mindstate....
Oh wow.... this is offensive... just think there's a lot of time and some REALLY bad games might come out. Now just think at the (IMO) 9:11 good bad ratio of games now. It was previously (IMO) 10:10 ratio. If this trend continues we might end up having a 3:17 ratio at the end of the year if we're lucky and I was right. Does anyone have any comments, agree, disagree about this?
EDIT: I'm no good at ratios so correct me if I'm wrong!
I just went to the Nintendo Channel and saw Strongbad. I'm not interested but I think Nintendo is giving fans the middle finger. But on topic, I see how it'll appeal to old west fans but I wouldn't see myself getting this. I think I'll wait until I blow my Wii Points. glares at My Pokémon Ranch
Oh noez! Shovelware's gonna be piling over the next two weeks. But since it's Nintendo they'll leave out that pie(plättchen) for so long, we'll have had so many bad apptizers(shovelware) we'll riot when we get cold pie!
