I worked at GAME as a Store Manager until recently when I was made redundant.
I imagine to closure of the HO is just Frasers group CEOs downsizing the GAME operations. GAME doesn't exist and it has just been swallowed up by Frasers group.
All the stuff like Reward/Elite memberships, preowned games, in-store preoders ending were all due to GAME having their till systems removed and replaced by the ones used by the rest of Frasers group, and the FG CEOs didn't feel it was worth the cost in getting all those things working on the new tills.
GAME as it used to be doesn't exist anymore. There are no GAME Staff left in my concession store, it's all just handled by Sports Direct staff who dont have a clue what's going on.
