@Karaya92 not trying to defend the price tag, but Prime was a remaster, this is a remake. I doubt they used any of the same models and textures from the 3DS version.
Even just porting OOT3D and MM3D (with a purist mode or something for those that dislike the changes) with higher res models or something would be perfect imo.
I'd rather they use that Link's Awakening Remake engine to remake the Oracle games, not that the originals are bad or unplayable or anything, just the LA remake was really cute.
@YoshiF2 his point is that old uncolored Gameboy games have been colorized by fans forever ago, and now Nintendo is offering it as part of their paid subscription service in 2023. Of course, we still lose out on Japanese exclusive games because Nintendo is the Disney of video game companies. All the profit, none of the effort, at least not from the executives.
@PBandSmelly not quite the same thing, but I feel it was worth mentioning. Yakuza: Like A Dragon goes a step further, having different subtitles depending on if you're using the Japanese VAs or the English VAs. It'd be cool if more localization companies did something similar, instead of having the subtitles dialogue exclusively match the English script.
while we're at it, can we restate the rule from years ago that sonic would never date Amy? isn't he supposed to be the sort of guy that just doesn't want a romantic relationship?
Personally, Knuckles not being playable in CD, and his scenario for S3&K not being included in "Story Mode" isn't defendable. If they included Tails as playable for this rerelease and back in the 2011 CD rerelease, then they could've taken the time and effort to make Knuckles work in this 2022 rerelease.
Not having a simple little Story Mode for the Knuckles scenario of S3&K is silly being that it's canon.
@RedGuy42 unfortunately I'd say keep your expectations low. knuckles wasn't in sonic cd's steam release, and I don't honestly think sega would've put that much effort into adding another character to sonic cd
