@Tech101 I hear you buddy. I'll have to find the Nintendo Direct you are mentioning. In either case, trying to get any actual information out of the first line of customer response is a pointless quest. Anyone that is interested in a game and does any research on the internet will know more about it then the person they answering the email they send to NoA.
@Tech101 I thought the exact same thing. In that email exchange NoA was just giving standard replies, but without reading the previous email chain they were just contradicting themselves. I have notice that Zen's responses about the NA release has gone from "Coming very soon" to "Hopefully this month" As far as it being in their Nintendo Direct, it is available in EU so they can say that is what they were referring to.
@Will-75 Back when we were continuing to be told it would be in January I said I would be playing the MH3U demo before any ZP2 here in the States. Now I'm thinking I'll be playing the full MH3U game first. NoA is the hold up. I've contacted them directly and got a cut and paste reply that led me to believe it may not come at all. When I responded for clarification I was told it is estimated for Q1. I responded again citing the fact that there is very little for Wii U players, esp with the RL disaster putting us into March before anything new. I got a reply similar to the first one that basically said it may not show up in NA, there may not be enough interest.
@Bankai No one cares that it is multi-platform. No one cares that other consoles get it. A finished game sitting on the shelf for 7 months while owners have very little to play is the issue. Release the Wii U version now since it is done and release the other versions when they are ready. They do it all of the time when PS360 is first. Why do they want to avoid taking money from Wii U owners for 7 months during a time there is very little out there?
Because most of us don't have the attention span and memory of a moth, this is the statement that irritated me:
"In this case, Ubisoft recently decided they wanted to release the game on multiple platforms so the decision was made to launch them all at the same time rather than separately. I know it's not an elaborate, 'convincing' answer, but it's the simple truth."
Reading this and seeing that recently Ubisoft didn't bat an eye releasing DLC for AC3 for the PS360 base and still no word on the Wii U front is extremely telling. The last statement should have read:
"PS3 and 360 owners are more important to us, it's the simple truth."
Their post on Facebook is getting hit with just as many comments, basically arguing against the delay. My questions are: Isn't Farcry 3 and Watchdogs from Ubisoft? Didn't Wii U fans want those games and aren't you wanting to give the fans what they want? Did you delay the release of those games so they would be multi-platform?
If he is expecting a price drop than I would anticipate we won't see any Ubisoft games for the PS4 or 720 as those will be considerably higher priced. Having the game on multiple platforms doesn't bother most people, it is delaying the game that has the Nintendo crowd up in arms.
@AceSpadeS Yeah, I didn't take it that way. I just wanted to comment that for myself, I have no problem whatsoever with a company wanting their product to be on as many systems as possible. That is just good business sense. Sitting on a finished game for 7 months without really giving a reason or offering an apology is not.
@Ryo_Hazuki-san We have been promised the world, it is the delivering that is the issue. In the recent Nintendo Direct the president stated he recognized the responsibility to provide a constant stream of games. All we have seen are promised titles and dates that continue to slip.
@AceSpadeS I've never had an issue with exclusive title other than I don't really like them. It is the constant delays (everything from Zen Pinball to Pikmin 3) that are irritating me.
I find it interesting (and sad) that when fans of Xbox or Sony want a game the publisher "decides to give the fans what they want" and will delay the release of the Nintendo platform. When the cry goes the other way, half the time nothing is done and the other half the Nintendo platform is released long after the others.
Nintendo had better get on the ball. They have offered very little to Wii U owners. Everything is delayed or no longer an exclusive, in this case both. I would have a hard time explaining to someone why they should invest in this system.
@CDreams Unfortunately not. Zen Studios announced that it would be available in the EU eshop 1/31/13 with the NA release coming very soon. So we won't be seeing it today on this side of the pond. Have fun with it though.
I'm not interested in either of those features....but delays seem to be the order of the day when it comes to the Wii U. Looking back, I'm surprised we actually got the system on launch day.
@mellloyellow02 Definitely wanting the Classic Pack with Tesla, V12, El Dorado, and Shaman. Other tables that I think I would like are Epic Quest, Excalibur, and Plants vs. Zombies. Some members on the forum really spoke highly of MARS so I may look into that after I learn my way around those first ones.
@mellloyellow02 Yeah, I'll get on board with that. I'm sort of surprised they couldn't get it released on both at the same time, so taking more than 1 additional week would be absurd.
@Tech101 Yeah, I've noticed that the EU releases seem to be announced before the NA. I'm really hoping it will hit us this week as well. Since the concern was functionality and getting the distribution system perfect before releasing the game, it seems like once that has been figured out for the EU eShop it would work on the NA side.
On the 14th they tweeted they hoped to have a date by the end of that week. Personally I see myself playing the Monster Hunter Demo before any Zen tables.
@Tech101 I was debating it and watched some video of the game play. Can't really say that it is interesting me. Donkey Kong is something that I loved as a kid, so it is more of a reliving my childhood for 30 cents situation.
@hiptanaka I saw it was listed on the Nintendo EU site as available on the 24th but on the Zen forums they are saying they still don't have a release date. Interestingly the date on the EU site is now saying 31st.
@speedyExpertist Yes, the initial platform is a free download with one free table included. You then can buy additional tables to play. It is reported that we will be able to try out the tables bwfore we purchase it.

Re: Wii U Software Struggled For 2% of UK Market in January
Actually 2% isn't too bad considering there are like 4 games out there for the Wii U. Too bad everything else is continually delayed.

Re: Ubisoft Confirms Rayman Legends Delay Isn't Down To Development Issues
@Tech101 Thanks for the heads up
@Wildfire Thanks man. It really does seem like such a double standard doesn't it?

Re: Rayman Legends No Longer a Wii U Exclusive, Delayed to September
@Tech101 I was #2! I could have been #1 but my first post was too long. Since it had something to do with the Wii U, that meant it had to be delayed.

Re: Rayman Legends No Longer a Wii U Exclusive, Delayed to September
@Spark_Of_Spirit I wonder if they would have delayed the game if it was originally on the PS360?

@Erica_Hartmann No, it was because I wanted to post them on the PS360 sites at the same time
Re: Rayman Legends No Longer a Wii U Exclusive, Delayed to September
@Tech101 I'd like to do my part, but my reply will be delayed until 2013 Q4.
Re: Rayman Legends No Longer a Wii U Exclusive, Delayed to September
@Tech101 I certainly don't see Zen delaying the new Star Wars pinball release so Wii U and 3DS versions can be launched at the same time.

@KillerGBH Could not agree more!

Wow, a delay for a Wii U game.......what a surprise.

Re: Nintendo Download: 31st January 2013 (North America)
No Zen so nothing for me....again.
Re: Wii U Price Cut Isn't in Nintendo's Plans
Wait a minute....does that mean Patcher is wrong? Wow, I wonder what else he said that isn't true.
Re: TiVo And Google Maps Functionality For Wii U Hit By Delay

Re: Oliver and Spike: Dimension Jumpers Pencilled In For Wii U
I like the idea. Always been a fan of puzzle games. If someone would come out with a MYST like game for the Wii U, I would be all over that!
Re: Nintendo Download: 31st January 2013 (Europe)
@mellloyellow02 I'm sitting on a good bit of cash, just don't have anything that interests me to spend it on..........yet!

@mellloyellow02 Thanks for the update Mello, now I won't have to bother Barbie with that same question. Nice of her to be straight up with us.
Re: Nintendo Download: 31st January 2013 (Europe)
@Tech101 Well, if it comes to that I can always fall back on the MH3U demo coming out 2/21!
Re: Nintendo Download: 31st January 2013 (Europe)
@Tech101 3 Months! Please tell me you are making that up Tech. Seriously hoping that we get it within a week of the EU release.

@ngamer155 Me and you both!
Re: Nintendo Download: 31st January 2013 (Europe)
So happy for you guys in the EU getting Zen. Anxious to see it on this side of the pond
Re: Zen Pinball 2 Release Date Arriving "Any Day Now"
@Zemus-DJ There is a thread in the Zen Studio forums where you can vote for which table you would most like to see made from a Nintendo franchise.
Re: Zen Pinball 2 Release Date Arriving "Any Day Now"
On the 14th they tweeted they hoped to have a date by the end of that week. Personally I see myself playing the Monster Hunter Demo before any Zen tables.
Re: Nintendo Download: 24th January 2013 (North America)
@Tech101 I was debating it and watched some video of the game play. Can't really say that it is interesting me. Donkey Kong is something that I loved as a kid, so it is more of a reliving my childhood for 30 cents situation.
Re: Nintendo Download: 24th January 2013 (North America)
@XCWarrior The only one that was listed that interested me was Donkey Kong, which of course was last to be released.
Re: Nintendo Download: 24th January 2013 (North America)
No Zen Pinball again. I really don't think we will see it this month despite what is being said.
Re: Nintendo Download: 24th January 2013 (Europe)
@hiptanaka I saw it was listed on the Nintendo EU site as available on the 24th but on the Zen forums they are saying they still don't have a release date. Interestingly the date on the EU site is now saying 31st.
Re: Nintendo Download: 24th January 2013 (Europe)
Still no Zen Pinball 2. If it makes January it will be on the absolute last day since the 31st is a Thursday.
Re: Zen Pinball 2 Wii U Pricing to Match Other Platforms
@speedyExpertist Yes, the initial platform is a free download with one free table included. You then can buy additional tables to play. It is reported that we will be able to try out the tables bwfore we purchase it.
Re: Nintendo Download: 17th January 2013 (North America)
Not one single thing for the Wii U. Color me disappointed.
Re: Zen Studios: Wii U eShop is an "Amazing Development for Nintendo"
Zen Pinball is going to be my first eShop download. Really looking forward to it!
Re: Developer Interview: Zen Studios On Portable Pinball Success And Wii U
Very positive interview. I am so excited for the release, hope it comes soon.
