Hi, can anyone who has the physical edition of Xenoblade chronicles x switch 2 edition confirm if you have to download the upgrade pack to internal storage / micro sd express card to play it (like the Marvelous game Rune Factory Guardians of Azuma or Fantasy Life i)? Or does it play straight from the cartridge (like Zelda BOTW and Totk) with zero downloads and storage use?
Interesting, this is being released by Meridiem Games. Same people releasing Super Meat Boy 3d and Shenmue 3, which are also meant to be fully physical releases. Also typical I got this digitally on S2 like a month or so ago.
Meh, another Switch 2 physical edition you have to download the full switch 2 upgrade onto your internal storage or sd card (and it's over 16gb!). Why isn't this upgrade played straight from the cartridge? Thought they'd have sorted this poor practice by now.
Demo is pretty rough in places, hope the final release is better. Switch 2 seems to have the worse version performance wise according to the tech stats on the website - low quality character models, only 1080p, no hdr. Comparison video on YouTube between the demos on Ps5, xbox x, s and Switch show this is the worst looking version. Shame.

@Teksette Reports on Reddit (take it for what it's worth) are saying the Japanese PS5 version also released yesterday is the same censored only version as the Nintendo version.
Poor from Bandai Namco. No S2 physical, not even a GKC, no upgrade path for those who buy S1 version (did it for Shadow Labyrinth so why not Pacman?). S1 version no 60fps performance mode like Repac 1 did. My idea to just buy the S1 version and run it on S2 seems pointless now. I'll wait for it to be on sale for cheap.

@anoyonmus yeah agree the film grain looks bad on Ps5 version. Least it didn't have that issue.
