Legit criticisms about the bugs at launch but about the lack of items or pokemon I think it's a bit exaggerated. I am myself coming back to pokemon after missing multiple generations and it's a lot to absorb already, so I am quite happy with a smaller pool and the "simpler" obvious items. In any case there is no doubt this will be expanded. My biggest disappointment is the lack of 6v6 even in private battles! but since the menu shows it as "choose your rule set" (at the moment there is only the single 3v3 or double 4v4), it gives me hope that more rulesets will be coming.
On the positive side, the interface is very good and going from training, organizing and battling is very smooth.
From what I read so far it really seems the best way to use champions will be in conjunction with the main games. Since recruiting in champions is tedious we will have to buy main games to first capture or breed mons before transferring them to champions through Home. On the + side, breeding will be easy without worrying about IV and champions can adjust EV and nature easily. On the - side, you have to pay for all 3 but that's probably a given that champions players will play Wind and Wave anyway. One thing I appreciate is that the team you use for the main adventure can now be used in online battles too because you can tweak them in champions. Before, you had to abandon them and breed a team from scratch to have a chance.
ANY OF THEM! The RE are made in a way that appeals to previous players without excluding new players. All RE can be a starting point and intrigue the player to dive into other entries either to figure out plot points or because of the gameplay. The story is not less enjoyable in disorder so I don't think we should give FOMO to new player by telling them "hey if you want to play requiem you better play X titles before". The exception may be you need to play 7 to understand 8 but I am not even sure.
I actually never played the first Zelda. My first game was oracle of ages on the gameboy color! At the time I was already fully convinced by playstation with final fantasy. It's Zelda that opened my horizon to nintendo systems. And when the PS2, Xbox and Gamecube came out, I went for the gamecube instead so I could play windwaker, ocarina of time and even Link in smash bros and soul calibur!
Aah someone else who ignored the Mario Kart bundle. It fell almost unnatural back then to order "just" the switch 2. Cyberpunk was also my first switch 2 game and I haven't needed anything else since! Welcome and looking forward to read your JRPG content.

Re: Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game Hits Switch 1 & 2 This July
Beating Aang as Katara is not really how I want to dive in the world of Avatar.

She's done so well, I love how she stutters and stress breathe even outside of cutscenes.
