@BloodWolfe from what I understand they can still play physical games. I think they should still have access to any digital games they've bought in the past too, but I'm sure it's all in the TOS nobody reads and just signs lol
@RPGpro I'm pretty sure you can still play the games without an update as long as the whole game is on the cartridge, at least they always ask if I want to start the software before it's even updated, could be wrong, since I've never actually started software before the update 🤷♂️ Bottom line i feel Nintendo has the right to ban your system if you're breaking the TOS, like every other console manufacturer. Now if they're really banning ppl for legit use of the mig cartridge then I believe Nintendo should come out and just flat out say don't use it regardless of legality or your banned 🤷♂️
@AnVold than most likely you got this well after Microsoft cared about the 360. It's like using cheats in a 2 year old CoD game, Activision don't care anymore just like Xbox could care less if you have a modded 360 in 2025 lol
@BloodWolfe well Microsoft fully bricked the system, i could only play it offline with physical media, which wasn't a huge deal back then, because digital games were barely a thing at the time. You can still play physical games on the Switch 2 if it gets banned. I don't feel sorry for ppl who's systems get banned for pirating, and I think Nintendo has every right to do so
@BloodWolfe I got my 360 banned for having it modded, had to buy a new 360 to play online again, so yeah I'm with Nintendo on this. Bottom line every console maker does this.
@nessisonett Microsoft did the same thing when they caught players using modded 360s. I got bricked shortly after MW2 released. Learned my lesson about pirating and had to buy a new 360. So sure it seems like it's a bit much, but they're hardly the first company to do this. I'm willing to bet most of the ppl saying they weren't using pirated software with their mig cartridges are lying
