Ok so maybe I say this a lot but in this case it’s really actually true, even moreso than most times: This game has one of my favorite soundtracks ever. The OST is just absolutely freaking bangin! If you like hard rock that’s really catchy (and really fast and pumping) this is one for you. I love so so so many game soundtracks but I don’t actually listen to that many while I’m working, puttering about at home, what have you. There’s only a select few I will actively listen too often outside the game, and this is one of them, no doubt.
I have the game on Switch and iPhone + iPad and anytime I start playing anymore it’s because I want to hear the music, the gameplay is secondary to that lol. (Side note I prefer the iOS versions because you can move your ship around the screen as fast as you can drag your finger, totally different than playing with a stick)
Probably going to get FF VI, but that font….bugs me. I like that they added the pixel font option, just wish they’d add an option to increase the size a bit. I mean, I have pretty great near-sighted vision, it’s not necessarily hard for me to see or read (although yeah it’s a bit more difficult than it should be) but it just doesn’t look good. I mean just look at the screenshot of the fight against Octomammath. There is waaaaay too much unnecessary empty blue space in those boxes. Same with the screenshot above it with Bikke’s dialogue. Anyway I know I’m beating the **** out of a long dead horse but had get my thoughts out on this one because this has been bugging me since the iOS pixel remaster release.
Speaking of which, does anyone know if they added the pixel font option to the mobile versions? It’s the reason I’ve held off buying on iOS (ok tbh I still play the original iOS FF VI release, I don’t mind the changes like many people do, I guess I just like buying new games lol)
@Pixelated_Otaku Really no option to invert motion controls/gyro aiming independently of stick aiming?? This is the same issue I had with Dusk when it first launched, inverting stick aiming also inverted gyro aiming, which for me made it all wonky, upside down like you said. Of course you could just switch off gyro controls but it seemed like such an oversight on an otherwise essentially flawless (IMO) port. Thankfully the developers rather quickly added not only an invert gyro aiming toggle, but gave gyro controls their own menu entirely, with all kinds of tweaks and adjustments available. I couldn’t have been happier.
My only criticism is the gyro controls. They need to add an option to invert Y axis for gyro aiming. There’s an option to invert gyro X axis, but not Y. Seems like it’s tied to your main invert Y look toggle. Problem is I like my stick look inverted but my gyro aiming normal (so when I tilt the system down, I look down). Seems like a relatively easy thing to add in, really hope they do soon. I love using gyro aiming for small adjustments and fine tuning.
Loved this game sooo much! Sure, The Walking Dead games are great. And I’ll always love and be thankful for The Wolf Among Us, which got me into the Fables comics, which got me into comics in general. But Tales From The Borderlands is Telltale’s finest. Even if you’ve got barely any interest in the source material. Charming, engrossing, heartfelt, and honestly funny af
It’s kills me that we’ll never have another season from the Borderlands :’(
@ChrisUnseen Hey I had that PSP case back in the day! I had a perfectly cut out DOOM logo, from a magazine I think, centered under the plastic in front. Looked great, and as such a huge DOOM fan I loved carrying it around. I had pretty much forgotten about that thing until you mentioned it. Good memories
Yes! Omg I’m so excited. Their port of the first game was fantastic but 2 is the one I’ve been waiting for. Man, the soundtrack...I’ll always remember that soundtrack and as good a shooter as Turok 2 is, it’s music makes it unforgettable
Wait, so does this mean I can use my Astro a50s? They use a USB control box thingy. I could see this working while docked, but I rarely play that way, I play in handheld mode 99% of the time. Can I still use them somehow? Or is that what the article is referring to, needing a USB to USB-C adapter. If so, about how much do they go for? Thanks!

Have the devs by chance fixed/patched this yet?
