Re: Talking Point: Metroid Prime: Federation Force and Entitled Fury

Listen, I'm the first to admit the conferance wasn't to my expectations, but I cannot help but admire Nintendo at E3 they give us things nobody else does, the championships and let us not forget the smash bros direct, which I would argue had it been in the conferance people would be a lot less disgruntled with what we saw, or shall we say of what little we saw. I never got into metroid, I've playe the 2d ones and loved them and plan to get into the prime series also, as I'm sure I'll love them too, I don't know the differentiation between this game and the original games, obviously besides character etc. but gameplay if I'm honest from what I consider an outside perspective, honestly I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that when I saw it in the treehouse......I thought it looked pretty good...hmm..is that bad?

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo's Plans for DLC and Microtransactions Point to Changed Priorities

Put simply here's what I believe,
1) it's nice to see nintendo giving the fans what they want, offering dlc in general is a good approach for the company, and like the guy said earlier they get slammed for being behind the times so why slam their new approach too?
2) we can't fault nintendo's appreciation of its fans, club nintendo being a prime example. Which takes me onto number three.
3) we can't complain about price when they give us so many occasional offers, which are more often than not exceptional value, I recently downloaded the MK8 dlc after redeeming it from club nintendo, they didn't have to do that, nobody else reward us as consumers as much as they do.
4) amiibo are guilty, in all fairness, gone are the days of unlockable simplicities through skill, but their cool though aren't they?

Re: Not Everyone is Thrilled That Metroid Prime Trilogy Lands on the Wii U eShop Tomorrow

I've been attempting to find this game for a sensible price for a good year now, and had no luck. I've never gotten into the metroid games and figured this would be a good place to start, you can imagine my disappointment when they were fetching upwards of 100 on ebay, I can't afford that kind of money for one game! I couldn't be more thrilled at this priced download, I can't wait to play it. I feel like nintendo have heard my cries, anyone who's a true nintendo fan won't be interested to losing money on their owned title, they'll be happy to see others like me who get to finally experience these games
