Re: Wii U Software Struggled For 2% of UK Market in January

CliffordB

One thing you can take from nearly every post you read on here is that pretty much every Wii U owner loves the actual Wii U console, it's purely lack of NEW! exclusive games that is the problem, this is why there is so much upset over needless delays etc.

I truly believe the Wii U has the "potential" to be Nintendo's best console ever!

But, only if they get a move on and start getting a few games on the shelf, there's no getting away from the fact the Rayman mess has been a massive blow, but lets just hope Lego City does well and the likes of Bayonetta 2, Yarn Yoshi , Mario 3D, Mario Kart, come out sooner rather than later, if not I just hope Nintendo have a few games they've been holding back that will be released out of nowhere.

Re: Wii U Software Struggled For 2% of UK Market in January

This one article alone is a reminder why so many current Wii U owners are totally disgusted with what's gone on with Rayman Legends, I'm sure most of us was seeing RL as the first game to really get the Wii U going, followed by the likes of Lego City then Pikmin 3 etc.

I just think what's happened with RL will stop even more people going out and picking up a Wii U.

In fact I bet a lot of current owners (myself included) would not even have bothered buying a Wii U "at launch" if it were not for all the RL "EXCLUSIVE" build up, lets not forget RL was one of the main games being used to promote/sell the Wii U.

So these articles are just not surprising anymore.

Re: Tiger Woods Is Skipping The Wii U This Year

CliffordB

One game I really could not care less about in the slightest, no loss here IMO, the TW games have not changed in years, same old, same old every release with the same looking "never upgraded" graphics, BORING!!!!

Much rather have a Mario Golf Wii U game, especially since the Wii missed out on one, last Mario Golf game was on the GameCube, so long overdue a new Mario Golf game, COME ON NINTENDO!!!!

Re: Wii U To Get An "Exclusive" Rayman Legends Demo Soon

CliffordB

Ubisoft can kiss my big fat hairy a**e, another DEMO, awful, I did not even bother getting the first DEMO, I knew I wanted Rayman Legends as it was one of the main reasons I bought a Wii U "at launch"

I just want the full game to experience, playing to many DEMO's just take away that special feel of a new game feeling extra fresh the first time you play it etc.

I truly can't believe that Nintendo can't convince Ubisoft to do a U-turn and release this game as promised, surely Nintendo know it was one of there biggest games to be coming out in the early life of the Wii U.

I tell you right here & now that if the Wii U version is held back to tie in with the PS3/Xbox 360 release it will hardly sell at all on the Wii U, mark my words, Nintendo should do all they possibly can to sort this mess out, they must know it was a vital early release, surely?

Re: Rayman Legends No Longer a Wii U Exclusive, Delayed to September

CliffordB

Totally gutted with this news, one of the main reasons I got a Wii U at launch was to play Rayman Legends, had it on pre-order for ages now, it's already had one delay (was supposed to be a launch title) now delayed until September, UNBELIEVABLE!!!!

As for it not even being a Wii U exclusive anymore, that really feels like a massive kick in the teeth, how much more bad news can the Wii U take?
I'm getting really concerned now, huge blow IMO.

@Kyoto
Have to agree with you, I had no bother with downloading a couple of tables and getting started on them right away, I personally found the setup fine.

I got the PvsZ & Fantastic Four tables, both are fun to play and wonderful to look at.

I will probably stick with just these two tables and hope that we see some Wii U exclusive tables released in the near future, love to see Nintendo themed tables, I'm sure they'd sell really well.

Re: Rumour: Has Junction Point Hit A Dead End?

CliffordB

I've been playing Epic Mickey 2 on the PS3, I think it's biggest problem as others have mentioned is it's just to boring at times, the gameplay/tasks are just so tedious throughout the majority of the game.

I plan to stick with it until the end (just beat the 2nd boss), I truly don't think it's the worse game in the world but obviously could have been so much better in so many areas.

I think having trophies to unlock with a game like this is a massive help in that it gives me that extra incentive to get through the game, I think I would have given up long ago on the Wii/Wii U version without this added incentive.

Re: Talking Point: Wii U Direct - Tell Us What You Thought

CliffordB

Really impressed with so much of the stuff announced yesterday, looking forward to the system updates, but, especially looking forward to the new "Yarn" Yoshi game, and can't wait for 3D Mario & Mario Kart, also Bayonetta 2 is very high on my list as well, so lots of pro's from yesterday.

Only con's I can think of is no GameCube VC, and no Donkey Kong Country, Mario Golf or Punch-Out!! announced.

But overall, have got to be happy with this Nintendo Direct.

Re: Wii U Games Struggling At Retail In The UK

CliffordB

I agree with those of you saying the price of many Wii U games is just far to high, especially when many launch games are year old ports that many gamers have already played on other formats.

But at the end of the day there is simply no getting away from the fact that the Wii U launch line-up is "very" poor indeed, I only bought NSMBU, nothing else interests me in the slightest, I only have Nintendo Land as it was part of the bundle.

I only bought a Wii U as I've owned every Nintendo console at one time or another and am fairly positive that over time some top notch exclusive's will appear on the Wii U, I just hope (& pray) Nintendo don't take to long to release them.

Re: Wii U Software Falls Off The UK Charts

CliffordB

Not a surprise in the slightest IMO, Nintendo just have not released enough "Exclusive" titles at launch.

Most games like Batman, Mass Effect 3 etc. although good games are old and have been played a year ago by anyone who owns either a PS3 &/or Xbox 360, so what do you expect?

I'm happy with my Wii U, but, I truly hope Nintendo don't take to long to release some big hitter's on the system.

So far I've mainly played Wii games on the Wii U, I only wanted NSMBU at launch (and the bundled Nintendo Land) nothing else was worth getting for me.

Of the announced games, I'm looking forward to Bayonetta 2 & Rayman Legends, and keeping an eye on Lego City: Undercover to see how it turns out.

But, Nintendo should at the very least announce a few of their big games
Mario 3D, Mario Kart, Zelda, Donkey Kong, Punch-Out!! etc. to get a bit more excitement going around the system.

Re: Wii U Struggles to Make an Impact in the UK Software Charts

CliffordB

As others have said it's simply down to the poor launch games, no doubt about it IMO, I bought the Wii U purely because I've owned every Nintendo console at one time or another so I badly wanted to own Nintendo's first HD console, but, I really hope (& pray) Nintendo don't wait to long before releasing some of their big hitters (3D Mario, Mario Golf/Kart/Tennis, Donkey Kong, Luigi's Mansion, Punch-Outt!!, Zelda etc.) because I fear the worst if Nintendo don't get a move on, I still think the Wii U has some genuine potential, but it needs EXCLUSIVE GAMES and lots of them, potential alone is just not enough. I think NSMBU is the only game worth owning on Wii U at launch and maybe Nintendo Land, other than that most games are just ports that the majority of gamers played over a year ago.

Re: Mario & Sonic London Olympics Sprints to 2m Sales

CliffordB

Not much love for M&S London 2012 in the comments so far, so I thought I'd add a more positive one, I have the game for the Wii and personally I find it great! fun, I've always enjoyed athletics/olympic themed games and M&S is just plain fun IMO, I find most of the events have that "one more go" feel to them when trying to beat your own and other players records etc.

I've even pre-ordered the 3DS version as it looks like it's different enough from the Wii version to make it worthwhile.
