I bought both digitally. I've never played either one before so they're new to me, and the price feels reasonable since I'm not buying something I've already paid for once.
Still not available anywhere near me, not available online, and I have yet to see my "pre order" invite from Nintendo. I finally broke down and bought from a scalper. Yes, I am ashamed. It had never occurred to me that I wouldn't ever get the invite so I had plans for launch week. Then I watched my free time slipping away and realized if I kept waiting by the time I get one a month from now I won't have time to enjoy it. They're still not available here anywhere but eBay.
Anyone know whether the 8bitdo adapter will work on Switch 2? I utterly loathe the Xbox style controllers with the sticks in the wrong place, it's not worth wasting my money unless I can use my ps4 controller. Everyone was saying prerelease that 8bitdo stuff would be completely compatible so I wasn't worried, but now I am.
I'm 43 and I can't imagine anyone wanting to play as Nabbit either lol. The majority of players have no clue what it even is. Yoshi is at least more recognizable but I have zero interest.
LotR: The 3rd Age is one of my all time favorite games, I love it more than a lot of recent games. To be fair I played it on PS2, but it's the GC version. It's everything I wanted in a video game. Turn based, gorgeous areas and scenery, Lord of the Rings. It uses actual scenes from the movies but it's new and fresh because you're not playing as the Fellowship. The narration and voiceovers are by the original film actors. It's just fantastic in every way, as a mashup of Lord of the Rings and Final Fantasy. I only wish it were more fleshed-out, with more detail and more story. That's my only criticism; I wish there were more of this game in every aspect.
This is honestly pretty gross. Reads like they're putting more effort into marketing these "exclusive" products than they did into creating something worth owning. Seriously, they've set up an app feature that does nothing but reassure you of how exclusive the thing is and therefore how cool you are for buying it? Oh and make sure to buy the next one too so you don't drop down the exclusivity leaderboard? A year or two from now there's going to be a bunch of stupid people trying to unload the complete collection, still pristine in box because they bought two of each, and not understanding why nobody wanted this garbage the first time.
