How long until this thing is just sitting on the shelf in Target or easily available on Amazon? February? March? Maybe not even March because people could be picking this up when they fail to get a Switch. Hopefully I can get the NES Classic in May or June 2017.
@rjejr I understand your frustration. But there is a difference between an actual issued/granted Patent which gives you intellectual property rights and a publication of a patent application applying for a patent (what we have here). In addition, there is a difference between what pictures of the device look like and what is claimed/covered by the patent. Here the nintendo patent claims a "movable portion" that is exposed on the outside of a housing that is also exposed on the inside of the housing. The Game Vice does not have the internals of the buttons exposed. Also, later claims cover the use of a camera to image the exposed inside of the buttons. Which the game vice does not do.

Re: Review: Mega Man X3 (New 3DS / SNES)
@KIREEK
Glad to hear! I just ordered the DS Zero collection and DS ZX+ZX Advent. So many mega man games to play on 3DS!

Re: GameStop Won't Offer Pre-Orders for the NES Classic Edition
It looks like Best Buy won't be taking pre-orders either: http://forums.bestbuy.com/t5/Let-s-Talk-Gaming/NES-mini-preorder/td-p/974866/page/2
Based Nintendo's history of poor releases and the likelihood that this will be a hot Christmas gift, this could end up being a nightmare for fans.
Re: Fresh Nintendo Patents Reinforce Concept of NX Featuring Detachable Controllers
@RCMADIAX I believe the CPP does use IR. But, the patent application here uses IR to view an exposed inside (underneath) of the buttons. The CPP doesnt have exposed button internals, it just uses IR to send information. https://storemedia.nintendo.com/ui/images/devices/3ds/parts-accessories/3ds-circlepadpro-empty-480x320.png
