@RPGamer Yup, actual dev here. Nice to meet you as well. And of course, it's a pleasure hearing from the community.

-Which animations are you referring to?
-We will be reworking a lot of the art time goes on, we actually have an art review going on this week.
-Oh, there are a lot of things I want to add. Definitely would like to add as many funnies as possible.

Physical editions are currently out of scope. I really wanted to have them for the Kickstarter campaign, but I couldn't find anyone willing to do it on a "no-name" game. Again, another reason to get on Kickstarter. Validation. There might be opportunities with limited physical editions if the Kickstarter does well.

One step at a time though, and that's getting to our funding goal. So tell everyone you know about it and then tell them to share it, and then hopefully the ever-growing word of mouth train will do its job!

@Apportal_SMM2 Aww, thank you so much for supporting us! And yes, you'll receive all items that you request. There's nothing there that we haven't made as a prototype for Kickstarter yet, so I know it can all be done.

As for your "gangsta" remark... LMAO🤣

It's okay, I really like hearing feedback from people, good or bad, we won't know if we're on the right path or not if people don't speak up. So I really appreciate it. Especially since they took the time and effort to even bothering to post in the first place!

@RPGamer No offense taken. I am very happy to hear any feedback from anyone at any time! I thank you for the time and effort you put into even bothering to state said feedback. If gamers are silent, we have no clue!

As I mentioned before, we will be looking at the "flipping" mechanic once again and seeing if we can't make the transition look smooth (and more in line to how SPM did it) Did you check out our game jam video? If not, Google: "Neko Ghost Jump GameJam Edition", it's something we tried in the very beginning.

Yeah, it's a shame that developers don't often talk to their audience. I am a bit surprised. But I guess that's what makes indie studios different than AAA.

As I said, we'll be adding more story elements (we already have a nice intro actually in the game telling how it all starts), but I'd love to do cutscenes and more story bits. But again, that costs time/money.

One thing at a time though. We need to reach our funding goal, so I can put out the stretch goals...I think you'll be happy with a few of them since you like a story so much

@WickedUnicarnBoi Haha, we are looking into possibly offering another variant of the plushie, but it's a lot harder than it looks to get plushies looking the way you want. Also, with COVID, everything takes 2-3x longer than it should. So, most likely, sadly no. This one will be the only one we offer. At least for the Kickstarter.

And yeah, if I have to push back the timeline because by the time we are expected to launch the game, it doesn't feel right, I will. I know I will disappoint some folks, but we only get one chance to launch, one chance for that first impression, it better be the very best launch I could possibly do!

With that said though, our production sprint cycles are weekly, so our iteration times are very fast. While we do have quite a bit of content to finish up, there's no reason why we couldn't launch on time on all platforms (we already have it running on the Xbox, next will be Switch and PS4 tests).

@Moon The game can only be as great as it can be with the support of the community. This is one of the purposes of launching a Kickstarter. You can't expect all games or studios to have huge financial backing from the start. We are not Nintendo and have never tried to act like them, their resources are monumentally bigger than 99% of indie studios. There's no reason to compare.

You will not be throwing away money for supporting us. This is not something I took lightly coming onto Kickstarter and asking for support from strangers.

I have been in contact with plenty of publishers, but sometimes the deals they offer are NOT better than just trying to go at it alone. So please do not assume that just because we do not have a publisher that it means anything.

200 people on Kickstarter would tell you otherwise so far.

@boxyguy Ah that makes sense... well, we originally had it like that a long long time ago, but ran into a lot of issues, we recently tried it again, and ran into some other issues. I'm not sure I can post links here. But if you Google "Neko Ghost Jump Gamejam" you should see the original gamejam version...and you be able to see the old Itch gamejam submission and there's a video of how the transitions used to be. I think there's enough interest about the camera transition, that we'll take another look at it in the near future. I will only get one shot at making my dreams come true...so need to make sure it's the best foot forward!

It's a shame that you are surprised...Developers should be interacting with the communities as much as possible. Actually, I didn't even know this was posted here today, I just happened to see it on my phone's news feed! So I got lucky, read comments, signed up, and replied!

@Not_Soos LMFAO... sadly... that's my voice... a few things didn't pan out the way I wanted to before the Kickstarter launch (2 trailer editors failed to deliver, a voice actor with the "right voice" couldn't be found), so in the end, although it wasn't ideal, I just left my placeholder voice over in there.

But I didn't know who Soos was... and I just looked it up. Well, the voice actor did a great job doing a Hispanic male's voice, I just happen to be a Hispanic male, so that's probably why we happen to sound alike. Haha.

@kickerofelves Hi back You are very welcome! It's basically very late Alpha, early Beta. So yes, lots of room for improvements!

The slippery movement I will actually be investigating sometime either this week or next, there are a few other things in higher priority sadly. But yes, I have noticed it and have been wanting to fix it. While it's not a lot, there are enough other people also that have noticed and complained, so it has definitely been on my radar!

Oh okay, so it wasn't a performance issue...that's good because I was like, we did a huge optimization pass recently!

Thank you very much, I hope it goes smoothly also

@ArtiomNLS Of course I would! Why wouldn't I? Communication is very important between developers and their communities! So, to keep things simple. No, coop/vs play. However, if the game can pay the bills and then some, I would love to do a "Speedrunners" type of VS mode.

There's always the possibility to make it a stretch goal, but honestly, that seems way out of scope and would prolong development even more. Better to keep it simple and polish it up as a single-player experience and then if the game sells well enough, do a sequel with coop and VS modes.

There will be secrets all over for you to find. And yes, that will include secret levels, but honestly, you're the first one that knows about that
