The video game industry in the US alone was only $5bn in 1989, whereas it is now $365.67bn.
Historical inflation has seen development costs rise, while the price of video games have remained relatively static. An NES, originally sold for $199.99 in 1985, would go for over $567.12 today.
It's high time the price of video games went to $70.
@Bydlak I hadn't heard that. I don't really pay attention to non-Nintendo stuff unless it has industry ramifications. I'll look into that announcement, thanks for letting me know.
@Joeynator3000 Same. I only have so much I can dedicate each month, and this month saw me purchasing Triangle Strategy and soon Kirby and the Forgotten Lands.
@Bydlak Triangle Strategy is great, I'm having a good time with it so far. My only criticisms would be a lack of side quests/repeatable content and unit customization is basically non-existent.
I'm about a third of the way through the game, I believe. My only real criticism is the lack of optional quests or repeatable random battles beyond the mock fights you can initiate in your encampment. Everything else is great!

Re: Nintendo Switch Online App Version 2.0.0 Includes Biggest Updates Yet
@skywake I completely agree. It might actually be mildly useful if I could enter friend codes from the app.
