Re: 2K Is Delisting Two Arcade Sports Games Later This Month

I honestly enjoyed both games. NBA 2K Playgrounds was fun and had a decent amount of replay value, very remniscent of NBA Jam. I did enjoy Playgrounds 1 over Playgrounds 2 though.

WWE 2K Battlegrounds was also fun and enjoyable despite lacking the depth that you typically find in mainline WWE games.

The commentary in the games also had a unique charm to them.

The downsides to these games mostly stemmed from it leaning a bit heavily into making you feel the need to spend money for unlocks, but these games were so cheap that you'd still get some solid arcade'y fun basketball and wrestling gameplay out of them.

Re: It Sounds Like This Voice Actor Won't Be Appearing In Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom

While it’s possible that he might not be reprising his role(s) in Tears of the Kingdom, even if he was, he wouldn’t be allowed to confirm it due to the NDA he would’ve signed. Voice actors usually aren’t even allowed to confirm their work on a particular title until launch, even more so when it comes to directly or indirectly confirming that certain characters will be present in the game.

So it’s still highly possible that he will be voicing characters, he just isn’t legally allowed to confirm. If he’s not, that’s a shame, loved his work in BotW and AoC.

Re: Review: WWE 2K Battlegrounds - A Disappointingly Poor Wrestlefest

I've actually found this game to be very enjoyable, and so have 3 of my other friends. Most fun we've had with a WWE game in years.

Definitely agree that the MTX are a bit much, but I feel like I earn enough in each match to buy what I want so I don't feel compelled to spend real money at all. You can win matches in less than a minute and get over 1000 bucks. Just wreck your opponent and them submit them.

Definitely the best WWE game since 2K has taken over the series. They've completely butchered the franchise, so this was a nice change.

Re: Epic Sues Another Fortnite Tester For Leaking Chapter 2

I work at Keywords Studios Montreal as a Project Lead, and I can say that everyone in our 3 Montreal offices (around 1,800 staff) thinks that this guy (who no one knows) is a complete moron.

I don’t think what this guy realizes the impact of his 2 seconds of fame within his tiny friends group. This kind of leak makes the company look less reliable as a client for game developers to work with as some genius working on a temporary contract at minimum wage decided to break the NDA. This kinda crap results in less job stability in an industry where job stability and permanent contracts are rare. I hope he gets hit with more than 85,000$ worth of damages.
