Awesome. I'm so gonna buy this. Inquery: does the lock-on change the music in Ice Cap and the later batch of levels from the original to totally new scores? Because that is the case with the Sonic 3 & Knuckles game on my PC. And I really, really prefer the music of that one. The Micheal Jackson tunes just rub me the wrong way. Now I just need to get 800 points somewhere.
Also, I just now noticed that the screenshots in the review are random! Nice touch.
The DS itself is long from dead, or anywhere near the end of a business-theory lifecycle. They just don't need to do this, and actually, I don't want them to.
I do care about the refreshrate, because the slower-ness a) doesn't fit the feel of the game and b) contrasts with my earlier experience, making the VC iteration feel inferior. Still gonna buy it though. Also... please be lock-on-able...
Everyone that does WiiWare or DSiWare has been yelling to get some support. Nintendo, with this Demo programme, has gone a good step in the right direction. And now, they just take that step back. What. The. Hell. Seriously, I just cannot grasp the logic behind it.
Also, when they finally bring it back, why did they not link to the demo from the game's in-shop page? Or, just like with the DS games in the My Nintendo channel, why don't they link you to the demo from there? Or a link in the shop channel to the My Nintendo channel page of that game, so people can read about it. In fact, why not merge the Shop Channel and Nintendo Channel altogether, that way all information about all games is in one place, and you'd have a nicer store. Another something that seems like it wasn't thought through... They need to do more to push these games, that we know. But when they finally create the means to, they implement them poorly.
I hope they don't censor this one again for Europe. That, and a lot of unpolished features kept me from buying the first one, even though it looked so darn awesome.
But I'm pretty psyched for this one; it seems to fix a LOT of the problems and it's just even more awesomeness. And humour. And Travis. Yes!
...So why did they put a two 'screen' game on WiiWare? I mean, this started on DS. Seems weird not to keep it that way since the dual gameplay mechanic actually adopts the dual screen's strengths quite nicely.
"This appears to be the first four chapters of the initial DS release with the fifth chapter to be released next March as DLC." CapCom just seems to keep missing the point in the how and why of DLC... And this one is very, very wide.
So why don't they throw this over to Europe... I've recently purchased Core. I'm still not sure whether I like it more than Beat, but it's definitly more catchy because of the significance of the music. It's sooo much harder though, which makes it a slight drag. I'm not one to give up on a game due to its difficulty (I've played so much of Bit.trip Beat and MegaMan 9), so I'm gonna go on with it.
There is no logic, NO logic at all behind letting them expire. You'd figure people will want demo's of a game available to try when they are looking at it, not searching for demo's just because they're available or something like that. When a demo is present, it's a positive for pushing a product. Why let those demo's disappear?! They did this with DS demo's and they're doing it now, and I STILL don't get it. This is one of those weird things that just bothers me to no end, so meh.
But hey, at least the first step has been taken. Good for you, Nintendo.

Re: Review: Sonic & Knuckles (Virtual Console / Sega Mega Drive)
@Kobayashi No, Sonic 3 & Knuckles does. This game alone is not worth 9.0

Re: Dead Space Extracted From Wii?
Seriously, it is a terrific game. Why is no one buying this? I just do not understand.
Re: Sonic Playable in Super Mario Galaxy 2?
They hinted at this all along. Remember Good Egg galaxy?
How about...
Death Egg Galaxy.
Re: Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1 Coming to Wii
Episodes? Is that... really necessary?
Ah well, it's a return to form, so that's great!

Re: Nintendo Download: Flip Champs, Missiles, Shanghai II, Copter Crisis, Dragon Master, Rabbids Lab and Solitaire (EU)
Though I like how big it is... I want my Bit.Trip Void. Or Cave Story, but that's something for later.
Re: Miyamoto: I Wanted To Patent Jumping In Games
He should've done it. The world (or at least the games of today) would be so much different then .
