Re: Review: Snake Pass (Switch eShop)

AppDude27

For those of you not sure if Snake Pass is worth it for not, here are some other opinions I have that the reviewer didn't touch upon:

  • The controls are easy to learn, but difficult to master. You will find yourself falling off bamboo sticks, sliding off platforms, or misusing the "tense" button to progress in levels. Once you get used to it, however, the controls become a breeze.
  • The collectables don't really do anything to help Noodle or Doodle. Besides the three Gate Keeper stones, I feel the collectables serve more as a personal achievement.
  • The level selection screen is kind of boring. I would've preferred to see a screenshot of the level or something to differentiate between which level is which. Instead, it's just a simple level selector with a basic premise of what you've collected so far.
  • The camera can be so annoying, but that could just be a nostalgic blast from the past of old school 3D platformers.

Overall, Snake Pass is a good game that gives a fresh take to the 3D platformer era.

Re: Ice Station Z Is Bringing Open World Zombie Horror To The 3DS This November

There isn't a lot of open world simulation survival games like this on the Nintendo 3DS. The graphics may not look the best, but in my opinion it adds to the overall tone of the game.
It seems like we're not just standing around shooting zombies either. We'll be taking care of needs, collecting supplies, playing with friends.
This game looks really fun! I can't wait!

Re: Online Play Not Showing Up on the Radar of Star Fox 64 3D

AppDude27

That sure is the nail on the coffin for this game. Nintendo needs to realize that Wifi play online is dominating the market. I can easily start a 3g game of doodle jump or fruit ninja on my iphone in seconds. Unless there's gonna be a starfox online for Project Cafe, then it sucks to hear about this.

Re: Reggie Wonders Where Metroid: Other M Sales Went Wrong

Well Nintendo did release this game at around the same time that Halo Reach came out. And another thing, Nintendo never offers demos for their games like xbox 360 does. Normally, demos for games is usually what makes me convinced or not to actually get the game. I don't want to watch videos of the gameplay, I want to be the one trying the game out! Nintendo needs to rethink their advertisement schemes. Maybe release a wii game demo category on the shop channel?
