Re: Sony Doesn't Consider Handheld Gaming To Be A "Huge Market Opportunity"

Which is why I kept telling folks Sony wouldn't deliver vita 2 in 2015, 2016, 2017 E3. You can't have anything when even the big managerial folks in Sony don't even favor handhelds anymore. But the little folks out there kept arguing n debating this n that kind of crap. You can have hopes but the moment you stepped beyond facts without even the slightest cue from manufacturers, suppliers, that's where their logic had become flawed. A product, if it's going to be in beta release, many different suppliers will leak first-hand info. . Perhaps little folks really not in supply chain or semicon industries... that should be it.

Re: Nintendo Switch Sales Surge Past A Million In Japan

@SLIGEACH_EIRE
It is true certain parts of the world could easily get Switch within half an hour. In my country, Switch piles in dozens in stores waiting for people to buy. What they say stock supply constraints is actually referring to official retailers like Japan Nintendo stores, online too, GameStop, toy r rus (USA, Europe) etc... Asia, other than hong kong, are not official retailers. We buy in tons of switches (from official whenever their batches come) n they sitting there waiting for customers. And anyway, Nintendo never bother to consider other parts of Asia (except china - not officially released yet, Korea) as real buyers so they basically just ignore all kinds of promotions here. And my country is famous for afraid to lose out n buy in tons of tech. It's still true for Nintendo that worldwide official retailers have supply constraints but but not exactly every single dot on world map. What's the difference between official and non official retailers, you might ask. Official ones try to follow the suggested price plus a bit more for tax. Non official ones are just like, for instance, you and me. We buy in from official stores and sell more than $100+++ per piece to get higher profits from current popular trend and which is why they still sitting in stores. Lol. I'm not a seller btw.

To some of you here who said Nintendo may not hold the hybrid market for long and Sony or Microsoft might play the same chess again (copycats), you don't even need to think about it. Many reasons for this have been given by the other posters and I would just like to add one more simple reason. It's not Sony's or Microsoft's fault that they won't do that.

If they ever come out something like this hybrid, their specs would be so gimped until their entire fanboy clubs would have splatted enough saliva to drown them into those slimy nonsense. Do take note of current n past years of technology (or in fact the next 10 years too in human tech unless you have access to alien tech, read the research papers in nano tech) that battery limitations n small form component factors always have to contribute to heat issues so in order to pump those specs especially for dedicated gaming to match the next gen specs (like Scorpio), it's like asking the engineers to die better.

Real life limitations, that's always a fact. Do note you are still living in the human world. If there's a breakthrough, it won't be coming from the gaming world first. It would come from the research world then followed by military, etc etc.

The most important fact is recall vividly how many hoooo posters who say Switch's specs are like poop? They are still there. It's on the internet. Finding these dudes are as easy as taking a dump. So for Sony or Microsoft to come out with a humanly possible dedicated gaming hybrid like Nintendo, oh man, you are just asking these dudes to eat their own words n take the next ship (space ones) n leave earth. No, this is not a joke.
