@JaxonH I can't redownload quite a few games I bought on Android, even when I had the same phone model. Also PT on PS3 cannot be re-downloaded, neither can Drive Club's DLC on PS5. It's happened quite a bit and is likely to happen many more times.
I'm not against digital purchases either - but physical should not go away. If there's an era of extreme government censorship (very possible) copies could be removed from our digital libraries. If there's online blackouts due to resource challenges (also possible) or if a game launcher company goes bust (ditto) the re-download facility may not necessarily be moved to another company.
Digital game preservation is also very important and will be done by many people but access to such resources could be blocked. It's much, much safer to also have many complete physical copies around, that also do not require an internet check-in, to make preservation easier, act as a defence against censorship, and be a much needed long-term protection to keep art around against external pressures.
I'd have bought it if it was on cart in an instant but will wait until it's a digital bargain or eventually buy it second hand on PS5 instead. I bet there's a lot of Switch 2 sales they've missed out on over this. People have stopped moaning as much in the comments because they're bored of being criticised but gamer-collectors are a huge market and the only reason I got my Switch 2. Without physical media I would have bought a Steam Deck instead as at least the games there are cheaper with many more options available.
@JohnnyMind Fantastic 😀 I'm trying to learn a different language at the moment so think I would get confused if I tried to learn Japanese - but what a great niche you've found. Learning Japanese from Kirby's Dreamland (for instance) sounds great (although I would also suggest an edited <30-min version focusing more on gameplay scenes that contain dialogue as I recall there isn't much in it - I would think that would make it easier to learn and also entice more viewers.
@Cotillion Wish I still had all my old Nintendo Official Magazines since the NES/SNES days and then N64 Magazines, which Wil Overton was involved with!
Fantastic, can't wait! Every time I go to WH Smith's at the train station I find myself looking for a Nintendo magazine, even though I know I won't find one! And the only multi-format they've got now is boring Edge! Total gamechanger!
Just hope they can delay the release a bit during this current crisis so it actually gets some sales.
Miitomo was so much fun as an actual positive social media app. I loved reading my then girlfriend's answers to Nintendo's well designed questions and trying to make her laugh with my own. In that way it reminded me of the early days of Facebook back when Walls were a thing and silly apps were rare enough that all your mates would use the same ones and you could learn a lot of fun things about each other and enjoy each other's sense of humour.
I don't think the "game" was well built for longevity though. Also, I don't think it was Nintendo's best game of the decade and I don't think you do either - this is just one final troll in your Miitomo career of trolling isn't it!
They remind me of self-appointed Victorian theorists who espouse swallowing a tapeworm to eat your body's food for you or claimed that bald people were bald due to their diet - the commonality being unsubstantiated claims based on shoddy guesswork. And, as with the Victorian theorists, people discuss their views as if they have anything worth saying when most of them are clueless!
@Quarth Let's face it, Carlton would think videogames are beneath him, or he would finally discover Pac-Man as his first videogame this year and get addicted as if it was crack.
This looks like a lot of fun and I like hearing from a team who aren't ashamed to recognise the classics and put their faith in the fact there is still a market for platform titles (as DKC, Mario and Spyro and Crash remakes prove).
I also like the wacky idea of the alien race turning up in the prehistoric era and the caveman getting his hands on their jetpack technology - a charming gimmick and setting that I haven't come across before.
Looking forward to hearing more about this - I hope Nintendolife will do a review.
@BANJO It does suck but I was also having a little word-based joke with you. The word you're looking for is "roster" so the main point of my message was to make a "rooster" "cocked up" pun 😀

Re: Preview: Star Fox (2026) - Just A Remake, But What A Remake
@Thomystic You fool, it's Fox is Chandler, Falco is Ross, Slippy is Monica and Peppy is Gunther.
"Could I DO anymore barrel rolls?"
"A real leader is better at unagi, Fox!"
"Waaahh! Clean up those enemies, Fox!"
"Rachel helped me like that too"
Re: Preview: Star Fox (2026) - Just A Remake, But What A Remake
@ShadLink You'll be disappointed, and you'll be happy about it!!! 😂

Re: Review: Pragmata (Switch 2) - A Dazzling Puzzle-Shooter Driven By A Heartfelt Friendship
Massive shame about the game key card situation. I'll therefore buy it eventually on PS5 when it's dirt cheap instead.
Sorry to any offense caused to the many GKC apologists who are delighted to boast about how they won't be able to play their games in 10-15 years.
Re: Feature: Thank You, Mum, For The Last Ocarina Of Time
@OHB123 This is wonderful - one of the most joyous things I've read in a long time. I'm sure your mother will be very proud.

Re: Switch Could Enjoy An Extended Lifespan And Even Outsell The Nintendo Wii, Claim Analysts
@SBandy It's amazing how often they're wrong, such as in this article from T3 last winter: https://www.t3.com/news/this-is-why-you-shouldnt-buy-a-nintendo-switch-for-christmas

@Shiryu Lmao, that last line

@BANJO With merely said "rooster" update for 2020, one might even say they "cocked" it up 😎
