The things this review says are tedious I find enjoyable in these games because you have the options to free roam or have missions, world building, and mini games. More things to do is good in my book. I will be buying this physical it looks good and watching the livestreams it looks fun too!
I started this game on PC and stopped once I found out grouping was required to progress the main storyline. I enjoy playing with others but typically I have to randomly leave my computer so I havent done instanced group content since having children. If they made the main storyline soloable I'd be all over it.
Curious how it would work with the install size, I know the ESO team has said the install size is what's preventing it from being on Switch. I'd much prefer that game :/
@StephenYap3 I agree and I especially dislike this because I buy physical usually and would prefer everything on the cartridge. I have only heard them say they will add costumes in their developer videos. Guess we will see!
This is pretty much what I expected based on videos and presentation. Not every game has to be difficult and I have plenty of difficult games with depth. This will be fun for the times I just want to play something light hearted and simple, and a family friendly alternative to Diablo for my kids.
It annoys me to no end how some people think just because a game isn't punishing its bad. Games are made for everyone not just one type of player.
I have very little roguelike genre experience because typically I don't like them. This game is not too difficult in my opinion and seems very balanced. And I think there is nothing like it on the eshop if you consider the variety of rpg elements included. Owned it on Steam before buying on Switch I love it so much.
@NEStalgia I can certainly understand disliking an art style, but Fortnite is not the first mainsteam game to have that artstyle. Also, this game was in development before Fortnites release.
I don't like fortnite personally but my son was turned off playing battle royale so maybe this mode will help him enjoy it with my husband more. I hope it really is coming to the Switch, seems some developers are o ly willing to do the bare minimum with their ports.
Pretty sure I read they were inspired by World of Warcraft and haven't seen anywhere anything about dragon quest or zelda. For someone who enjoys the casual aspects of leveling in wow this might be a good inexpensive switch option. But if anyone expects something like zelda based on this article's inaccuracy they could be disappointed.
I'd much rather be able to buy classic games outright, it's half the reason I got the switch as I've no interest in the new iterations of Zelda and Mario. Also they will likely raise their subscription price after a year, the low intro price is just to get people sucked in. I'm not arguing a subscription service, but people are too excited over the price and I thought it was obvious it would not stay at that price point.

He will be lucky to ever get a job again if that goes on record, and it likely will.

I hope it is not chibi or anime style I'd like to see more variety on the Switch... Never get sick of 16bit though.
