Merry Christmas, lovely people! We hope you're enjoying a little rest and relaxation over the festive period, or whenever you happen to be reading this (you're unlikely to stumble on a Nintendo-themed Christmas quiz in the middle of July, but if that is the case, greetings!).
While you're busy fighting the urge to fall asleep on the sofa, or mindlessly chewing through tins of chocolate you didn't really want in the first place, we've prepared the following dozen little brain teasers to test your seasonal knowledge and memories of winter-themed zones from games on Nintendo systems.

I got 10/12. Metroid and Undertale I got wrong.

A little disappointed we didn’t get an image from Diddy Kong Racing though, there were a few festive tracks in there!
10/12, not too shabby! Got Pikmin and Xenoblade wrong.
10/12, Banjo and Xenoblade got me.
Freezeezy Peak and Snowdin are probably my favorite holiday areas in games.
8/12 got all the ones I've played right, but I must say I got Banjo right because I knew to pick the one with the most ridiculous name.
10/12. Not bad. I guessed all the ones I didn't know trying to judge how the games would name their snow locations and I only got the Metroid and Pikmin ones wrong.
9/12, missed Earthbound, Metroid, and Zelda and had to guess on Pikmin and Xenoblade.

What's sad is I guessed on most of these since I haven't played most of the games involved, however 2 of the 3 answers I got wrong were from games I have played. Figure that one out.
Only missed one. Don’t know much about Xenoblade lol
12/12. Never achieved a perfect score on these before, and considering I’ve not played over half of these games, that’s just incredibly flukey

Got Xenoblade wrong, but I never played that game.
8/12.....Got one wrong I should really have gotten right. Yelped after pressing wrong answer. Surrounding phone users looked up and stared for a couple of seconds (ahem)
6 out of 12, the only ones I knew were the ones from Xenoblade and Super Mario Oddysey, the other four were pure luck.

12/12! I guessed on the Metroid one and got lucky.
10/12, I missed the first and last. The two 64 snow levels always get me confused but I guess cool cool mountain is the one that's... you know, a mountain.
10/12. Didn't get the Animal Crossing or Undertale areas. Knew everything else quite easily.
5/12 even though I've played all of these games (except Xenoblade). I need to pay more attention to the names...
10/12. Xenoblade was dumb luck though - no such luck with Pikmin or Banjo.

11/12. I guess the Animal Crossing picture is meaningful to those who've played it?

Wow, I got lucky! I got 8 right, even though I only knew the answers to 2 of them (Xenoblade and Mario Kart).

6/10, I messed up on MM and M64, But to be fair Thats not bad saying as I haven't played a lot of those games.
Man, I missed Animal Crossing of all things. >.> . Well that and I couldn't recall the name of that particular DKC level. I've played all of these at least.

Earthbound sucks for calling a place Winters...
9 out of 12. I had to guess several but if you know the naming conventions of some games they're not too bad to guess!
8/12, I’ll take it. Love how the first one said “let’s start with an easy one” and I had no clue what to pick as I never played Earthbound lol. Fun game though!

Had to guess for DKC, but other than that, I just kinda knew/remembered all of these answers.
9/12 really the only one that confused me was AC, the image had a non-3DS aspect ratio, even though the visuals were clearly not as good as City Folk.
The other three are games I've never played so there was simply no way.
9/12 with some lucky guesses. I don't really know Pikmin, Xenoblade, or Earthbound, but I got the Xenoblade one right.
I also got Banjo-Kazooie wrong, that one was tricky because the screenshot doesn't show any distinctive features of the level to be able to tell it apart from other Banjo snow levels. You really need to know Banjo super well to be able to get that one right.

Got mixed up on the Banjo and DK questions.
8/12 but I guessed a couple, haven’t played as many of the older ones
Got nearly half wrong, on account of how few of these games I actually played. Banjo-Kazooie was the one that I guessed correctly.
11/12 couldn't really recognise the Animal Crossing one.
9 out of 12. Not bad.
