There have been so many tricks and glitches discovered in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild at this point, we have to wonder just what else there is left to discover. We've seen one that lets you go underwater, a glitch that lets you explore parts of the map that would otherwise be inaccessible, and even one that lets you swim in lava (because why wouldn't you, right?). The majority of glitches are fairly low impact, proving to be little more than fun, minor distractions as you work through the game. The latest one, however, is a big one and has the potential to completely change the way you experience Breath of the Wild.
It take a bit of work to accomplish and you'll need a solid collection of items to begin with, but pulling this trick off will effectively allow you to transfer inventory slots to new game saves along with duplicating slots. Do you want to easily carry over the Bow of Light to a new save file? Well, you can! Along with any other item you wish to keep for a new run-through of the game. You can even transfer the items over to a Master Mode run, making the whole prospect of tackling the tougher difficulty setting much more palatable.
Check out the video below for a full walkthrough of how to accomplish the item transfer and duplication from YouTuber Gaming Reinvented. It's no secret that we've seen glitches in the past that let you carry over items like the Bow of Light to a new save file, but previous methods have proven to be overly complicated with potential game-breaking side-effects. This latest method is not reliable, but is seemingly the first one that works with both a normal save file and a Master Mode save file. Let the speed-running commence!
Let us know in the comments if you manage to pull off this particular glitch, and whether you've discovered anything new yourself!

One day.. one day, BotW glitch posts will be BotW2 glitch posts and it will be a happier day..
This is hard to wrap my head around. What a glitch! What a game! Over 5 years later, and secrets are still being found.
No way I'm clearing my save after beating all the shrines just to keep the Bow of Light. Simply not worth it.
Amazing... I'm not going to lie, having the Bow of Light outside of the final battle is sort of this game's holy grail, as far as I'm concerned. I wish there was a legit way to obtain it.
So you start off superpowered? sign me up 😅
@Octorok385 doesn’t the zelda amiibo give you that item?
@Arkay that's how mortal humans such as you or I would feel about it. These speedrunners though, they 100% BOTW every other day. My hat goes off to these mad champions.
@Moonlessky Wait does it?? I need to look into this...
@N64-ROX yeah I simply don't see the fun in that.
Then again if I was racking in hundreds in donations to do it....that would be a different story.
I'm very sorry: I cannot listen to this voice longer than 2 minutes. What did I miss?
I'd class that invalid if used in a speed run as previous actions were taken. Good glitch not worth wiping a 100% save file over.
@Octorok385 Yes, TP/Smash 4 Zelda gives you one that does work exactly like the bow of light, but unlike this one, it does have durability and can break after use. Also, getting one requires several tries since it is random if you get it or not (and if you don't save before trying it, you will have to wait a day to try again).
