We're not saying Link should be a bit of a better swimmer after appearing in so many games, but given the scope of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild's world — and its beauty — we're a little bit sad we can't do a bit more exploring in the depths of the lakes and oceans.
Well, that's if you limit yourself to the game's actual mechanics. Breath of the Wild has seen numerous tricks, glitches, and exploits uncovered over the years, and YouTube channel Gaming Reinvented has once again come up with the goods, sharing a method that will let you sink right to the bottom of the ocean floor (or the lakebed) to take a little look and the hidden secrets underwater.
This trick is pretty involved, but if you want to get a better look at all of that lovely coral and underwater wildlife in Hyrule, then this is what you'll need to do. First, set up the moon jump trick by participating in the horseback archery minigame, then go to Ridgeland Tower to start another minigame — the Bird-man Research. Moon jump to Lurelin Village. Open the middle chest there, warp and walk to where you want to explore, make sure your stamina is depleted, then jump over the water and get ready to use Cryonis.
Gaming Reinvented's video below explains everything in a bit more detail but with this trick, you'll get to see a whole part of Hyrule you never could have before.
Will you try this out? Have you used any other underwater exploits and tricks in Breath of the Wild? Let us know!

Are there any octopuses gardens under there?
Who needs a sequel when the Depths of the Wild remain unexplored?
I love how people are still finding glitches to allow this kind of stuff five years after release

@CorvoRevo yes, dead people.
Skyward Sword has better glitches.
@AG_Awesome
Only in the shade, and they're Octoroks' gardens.
Lack of swimming hurt in BOTW. Hope we have quality underwater sections in BOTW 2.
@nukatha LOL! Perfect. Octoroks garden! How did I not think of that 🤣😂❤️❤️
@CorvoRevo Yea, jeez! People need to stop having fun so they can finally acquire "a life"!
I'm still not quite sure what that entails as I'm too busy having fun, but I'm sure having "a life" is waaaaay better than enjoying stuff!
@CorvoRevo I tried taking a life one time but someone reminded me it was against the law.
@Dinglehopper looks like he got disliked into oblivion! 😃
It would be great if BotW2 had more underwater exploring. Combined with the sky exploring we already know about, it would make the world a LOT bigger. The challenge really is filling all of that exploration with meaningful experiences/discoveries. BotW was really fun to explore, but eventually showed its limitations. Simply adding underwater and sky on top is not going to be much fun unless there's more to discover.
i hope Nintendo add underwater exploration in Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild 2.
