Next week sees the long-awaited release of Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak. This is new DLC for Monster Hunter Rise adding new monsters and much more to the existing game.
Ahead of the launch, Capcom shared some news about the game's demos. As of 30th June (the same date as the DLC release), the original Monster Hunter Rise game demo will no longer be available on Nintendo Switch or Steam.
Capcom is now focused on the new Sunbreak DLC and the recently released demo for it:
"The Monster Hunter Rise DEMO will no longer be available on June 30, 9pm PT / July 1, 5am BST for both Nintendo Switch and Steam. The Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak Demo will continue to be available for download."
The new demo for the DLC is bigger and better - allowing players to access the Jungle location and hunt Malzeno, Astalos, Tetranadon and Great Izuchi. There are also training quests to try out, and both solo and multiplayer is supported - with no limits on the number of times you can attempt quests.
See our previous post on how to access the new demo. Have you tried it out yourself yet? Tell us below.

I uh... guess I'll download it just to say I have a switch with exclusive demo...?
I haven’t played it yet, will it be unplayable or I just can’t download it?
Someone tell capcom this isnt the only game avaliable.
@PBandSmelly oh man you and me both 🤣
I started hoarding demo’s ever since they removed demo’s of games like balan and robothorium!
@Snatcher : I don’t think you’d need to be online to play it. As long as you’ve prompted the download, it will be added to your library, which you will be free to redownload later. Even one-off events and demos like the Splatfests and such can be redownloaded despite them being completely useless now.
@Silly_G I didn't know they removed the Balan demo!
@TheMelodiusRose online isn't dead? Well i dunno about the demo, but the online for the game is one of the most played games on the Switch, i see hundreds of available lobbies, everytime i refresh the lobbies, hundreds of others appear, indicating that there is a very healthy player base in the game.
If you're talking about the online for the demo, then get the main game lol.

It's reasonable that they wanna move to Sunbreak since it looks like it's own game entirely!
