Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl on the Nintendo Switch have now been updated to Version 1.1.3.
According to the official patch notes, this latest update is a rather small one - fixing some issues for "more pleasant gameplay". Here are the full details courtesy of Nintendo's support page:

It would be nice if one of these updates would make the GWS available finally.
@g_ruz It'll come. We just have to be patient.
@g_ruz Wait it isn't? I just thought I had to do an event or somthin.
Between this game becoming more pleasant and the Switch itself becoming more stable, I can hardly take this!
Maybe a patch to make the final boss easier would be nice 😃
Pokemon Diamond just jumped up to my most played of the year with many many hours so I'm not sure if I can handle even more pleasant gameplay.
@NintendoByNature The final fight took me 2 tries but I kind of liked that it showed me what happens when you lose a battle and forced me to strategize.
@NintendoByNature Nah, The whole game is easy (ish) as it is, And it actually made me have to think about what I did. and how I did it.
Hopefully they fixed the Pokéradar bug. Though I'm still on 1.1.1 for glitch shenanigans.
Why can’t they patch in the GWS than focus on pointless “pleasant gameplay” ( whatever it means) update?
@NintendoByNature You're kidding right? It's actually nice to know Cynthia's hard in these remakes, since that's one thing that people were most worried about, given how Fairy type would nerf her Garchomp. It's apart of the Sinnoh experience to struggle with Cynthia.
Cynthia was a bit of a pushover thanks to fairy moves.
Sounds pleasant
TL;DR - “Work better now”
@VoidofLight nah. Not kidding.
@snatcher easy until the end that is
I think for some reason they’re waiting to make the game compatible with Home before we can use the Global Wonder Trade features.
@NintendoByNature I mean, your asking them to nerf a boss fight that's supposed to be challenging. The one fight in the series that actually puts fear into people whenever they hear her theme. In a series that lacks challenge, the fact that she hadn't been nerfed is insane in and of itself.
@VoidofLight pretty much. Just wanted to finish the game and couldn't beat her. Makes little sense to fly thru the game never having my party faint in its entirety to only struggle with 1 boss.
@NintendoByNature Eh, it's strange, given how modern pokemon is, and how challenging the Platinum teams were for the originals, but I'm just glad Cynthia retained her challenging status that she had originally.
@NintendoByNature Well its testing you, Seeing if you have really been paying attention! take everything you learned, and just throw it all at em.
@VoidofLight Hard agree.
Have they nerfed the most recent cloning exploit?
I like how detailed they are in the update description. Shows a lot of respect for the players.
@NintendoByNature Heaven forbid the final boss of a game take more than one attempt!
Wow, what incredible "full" patch notes. Nintendo's lack of respect for players and telling them what they changed about their game continues, I see.
I'm still at version 1.1.1 and I will stay at that for the foreseeable future
@RainbowGazelle It's not developed by Nintendo.
Its most likely to fix duplication glitches, but would rather not advertise that otherwise people not in the know would go looking for them before updating
For a more pleasant gameplay I'd add the Pokémon home support. If only the developers would talk to each other.. oh wait
@Cero Pokemon Home support is planned for next year I believe. Just like it was for Sword and Shield in the beginning of 2020. They just don't want people to transfer their pokemon into BDSP and plow through the game, or get the nat dex extremely early.
@VoidofLight they should mind more their bugs and less how people play. Especially since Home is a paid service
@VoidofLight tbh I think they should keep Home locked until after you beat the champion.
@Cero Home support is announced for 2022. https://www.nintendolife.com/news/2021/08/pokemon_home_will_support_diamond_and_pearl_remakes_and_legends_arceus_from_2022
@VoidofLight Sooo what if only after they've patched it in do you buy the game and play it, in this case you'd be able to plough through it. There's some irony to how they expect people to grab and play the game immediately and not wait some months/a year, when the state of the game at release could make many hold out on it til they've fixed most of the issues it released with.
@Bomberman64 90% of the players buy games like these early, especially with Legends Arceus coming in January.
@sanderev I know, that wasn't my point
@sanderev Yes, they do and they did with BDSP too, which has sold really well, but will it continue to be like this considering how the industry in general and they themselves have been releasing their games? Only time will tell. With the current fanbase, Arceus could just be a bootleg flappy bird 3D game and fans would still buy it day 1, or preorder it.
@sanderev Your point being? It's published by them, and this is pretty standard for most Nintendo-published games.
@RainbowGazelle Except it's not.
Very simple example:
https://www.nintendolife.com/news/2021/11/animal-crossing-new-horizons-update-2-0-1-patch-notes-fixes-for-the-main-game-and-happy-home-paradise
Full patch details of the 2.0.1 patch of Animal Crossing, game developed and published by Nintendo.
However a patch that just says "bugfixes" isn't that uncommon for developers to make. Especially if it fixes possible exploits that can be used by unpatched users.
@sanderev That's why I said "most". Nintendo are, admittedly, getting better, but there are still a number of occasions when they don't state what's been changed. Even the Animal Crossing and Splatoon patch notes usually include an "other general improvements for a better game experience" point. I'd also like it if they stated how large a patch is as well.
All that transparency back then with game patches had me weirded out. This is more in line with what I'm accustomed
@Salnax ouch, you really got me with that one!
