Scott Pilgrim vs The World: The Game came out today, almost ten years since its initial release. Fans have been going mad for it, with "Scott Pilgrim" currently trending on Twitter. But original graphic novel creator, Bryan Lee O'Malley, revealed that the game originally had a special DLC planned, until it was cut.

Clash at Demonhead (named after the NES game) is the band belonging to Envy Adams, Scott's ex, and Todd Ingram, Ramona's vegan ex, as well as drummer Lynette. Envy and Lynette appear as sub-bosses in the game, and Todd - the third of Ramona's evil exes that Scott has to beat - is the boss of World 3.
We could have had playable villains! We could have had the chance to beat up Scott Pilgrim! Ah, well.
Envy Adams, by the way, was played by Brie Larson in the movie. You know, Brie Larson, fan of Animal Crossing: New Horizons, who wants to be the star of an Animal Crossing movie? The woman who takes Super Mario Galaxy too seriously? The actress who wants to make a Metroid movie? We can't think of anything else she's been in, but we do love her.

If the complete edition sells well... maybe? A man can dream.
She's CAPTAIN MARVEL... CAPTAIN MARVEL. And I need to get the physical copy of this. Already have it on my 360 as a download title.
Even though this never came to be, it's great to hear Bryan share these little bits of history for all of us rabbid (thanks Ubisoft) Scott Pilgrim fans!
That's a shame, she was a key character from the comic and movie so it would have made sense to include her in this.
Also a Brie Larson article...I wonder how this will turn out ;p
@WhiteTrashGuy I thought Robert Downey Jr. was Captain Marvel? Or is that Iron Marvel? I just can't keep up.
Man brie Larson playable would be insane!
The lack of Joseph is the worst part, would have killed to play as him and his death stare.
Don't care about Brie Larson, but I would have enjoyed playing as Envy in the game. Oh well.
Playable Envy would have been a great feather in the re-release's cap; maybe if it sells well enough, Ubisoft will consider resurrecting that scraped DLC. One can only hope...
Envy's role in the comic is better thant the one in the movie, but we're stil getting Scott Pilgrim on the go!
I would have liked to see Envy as a playable character but unfortunately Brie made her the black sheep of the movie.
Aw man! Envy is my fav ex of the movie. And best song in the movie too.
Brie Larson was also Abed’s girlfriend in Community
Brie Larson could play the Other M version of Samus? I could imagine it would be a faithfully divisive performance. (Sorry, I took the bait!)
Scott Pilgrim looks amazing. The short play time makes me wonder whether I should wait for a sale, but I am so tempted to pick it up this weekend.
@Roto13 I did take the bait, but I also have a nice apartment and my love life is rich and rewarding. Was so hard not to comment on my favorite nintendo character being played by someone who is so divisive. But if you like her, good for you.
Brie Larson is controversial.
But I can totally see her as Samus Aran now.
Anybody know if the Switch version of the game includes cross-play support?
