Yesterday, The Witcher actor Henry Cavill sent the internet wild when he posted an Instagram video of himself building his very own gaming PC. Now, a YouTube video uploaded by Captain Marvel star Brie Larson is doing the rounds online. It showcases her new island in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
Unfortunately, she's had to start again from scratch as she set up her original island on a Nintendo Switch Lite, and then discovered there's no ability to transfer New Horizons save data from one system to another just yet.
"Please, Nintendo, please, I know you're saying you're gonna do it soon, but like, could you do it really soon, because I've worked very hard on my island, and I was excited to share it with everybody."
While getting familiar with her new island, Brie answered a few questions sent to her by fans. The first one wanted to know who her favourite Animal Crossing: New Horizons villager was - this was her reply:
"My favorite is Soleil, I think. Soleil is so cute. I think they're a hamster, and they have like a little purse."
Soleil is an orange hamster with a blonde-tuff of hair and was first introduced in Animal Crossing: New Leaf on the 3DS. She also makes a return in New Horizons. Here's a look:
Who is your favourite Animal Crossing villager? Have you had Soleil on your island before? Tell us in the comments below.

Once again who cares. Yall only make these articles so you can read the comments, dont lie
@PickledKong64 I care, sry
Don't know who is it.
@PickledKong64 We care. But no one care you and your opinion kid.
I want to play with Brie.. π
@PickledKong64 Can't lie. I clicked for the outrage.
@HappyMaskedGuy I think you accidentally posted this on NintendoLife when you meant to post it on the Incel subreddit.
My number 1 villager on my island is definitely Raymond. π
I pick Hamlet as my favorite Hamster villager.
Uh oh, here we go again for Wah Wah Nobody cares with her enthusiasm...
@FNL I learned this new word yesterday which I will employ now. Bear with me.
SSSSSIIIIIIMMMMMMP!
@PickledKong64
I do care.
Maybe i can meet her from Online playing.
Brie get a life
@FNL What?
Yay a Brie Larson article. Time to put on the popcorn and watch the insecure guys freak out. This will be fun. Luckily we have already had a couple of contenders.
Edit: If this was a Zelda Williams article, the amount of "Who cares" and "go away" comments would be next to zero.
@ArtiomNLS got a better explanation for why Brie Larson isn't allowed to talk about video games? The dingbats in the comment section always lose their minds when she does.
Why not, from now on ,when you post articles with her just disable the comments.
I do not like her personality but man ... the 2 camps just eat each other in the comment sections.
I know that it will be less revenue for you but in the end it is worth it.
Cut her some slack. She was being asked questions about Animal Crossing by fans who wanted to know. Are you expecting deep insightful thoughts on the world? It's a game about decorating an island. Chill out.
@HappyMaskedGuy How old are you? Based on the quality of your writing and your lack of understanding of the word simp, you can't be any older than 12.
@Zuljaras This is mostly why the comments for these are for, by the looks of things. Like, ok, that`s the person who played Captain Marvel, cool, I don`t judge, but looking at other "celebrities" and articles like "OmG KArdI B chANGeD HeR cOLor oF DrESS!", it seems weird.
For my own POV: I will say this video at least focuses rather solely on her gaming exploits and is therefore much less cringe-worthy than her "intro" to YouTube. Obviously she still is very overwrought in the smarmy always enthused aspect, but it's nice to see someone put a hobby out into the broader spotlight.
She has very veiny hands......still would.
@PickledKong64 I mean, as far as clickbaits go, I'd rather see articles about legitimately recognizable Fiction industry folks resonating with and enjoying the subject medium than the umpteenth fantasy or bootleg scoop from some left-field "influencer and self-made critic with reliable sources(tm)".
Less opinions from celebrities, more opinions from random slobs on Youtube!
The only problem I have with her YT channel is that there were some news (I hope they are fake) about her flagging other videos where she is criticized.
I mean having the power of being a celebrity she (or her team) might shut down other videos and even channels just for being more influential.
This I do not agree with.
Me in the comment section when both sides start too argue.

@JokerCK do you mean no one cares about you and your opinion. Learn how to type
"My favorite is Soleil, I think. Soleil is so cute. I think they're a hamster, and they have like a little purse."
I had to read that twice before I knew why she called 1 character "a they" (even while the reason is understandable for some, it is confusing even for me even while I know few people talking that way)
Brie Larson, never heard of her so I had to Google that... so I guess okay? (everybody can play any games they want)
@FNL I thinknits because Nintendo life makes whole articles like no one cares unless you already follow her lol
Brie Larson, time for 300 comments of all the same arguments. NintendoLife must be trying to give Alex a pay raise.
Is she staying with her grandmother? The furniture and decor are just awful.
How long until this devolves into rants about "leftists" and how JonTron and PewDiePie's casual racism is no big deal because 'something something cancel culture'?
I don't care what skin colour you have or were born a boy or a girl...people who busy themselves with celebrities are the bottom of the barrel of mankind.
@Rayquaza2510 People have used "they" as a pronoun long before it was applied to trans people. It was usually used when you were not sure of the persons gender, which is one reason it was adapted by trans people.
I keep forgetting who this person is.
@HappyMaskedGuy Don't feel bad, I just had to google what simp means, and for anyone who doesn't know or is over 12, it's short for simpleton, supposedly.
Now let's sit back and carry on watching the comments, I'm sure someone will probably pick on me now too
Gross comment section. No wonder people think people who play video games are all incels.
@benchan My guess would be vascularity because she's extremely fit.
Wasn't she in Scott pilgrim?
@Trikeboy yes, itβs the gender non-specific pronoun and very useful when your conversation has literally nothing to do with gender (in case itβs not clear, I know we agree)
@Slowdive as if acting is not a talent, as well!
@Slowdive Yeah, what a surprise. A right-wing Youtube channel spouting lies and being misogynistic. I. Am. Shocked.
Aww Brie, my least favourite cheese. Wait, what?
Sigh. Comments closed.
