Back in April, we reported a remaster of the original Spyro The Dragon PS1 trilogy would be arriving this September. At the time, the game was only announced for the PS4 and Xbox One, with no mention of the Nintendo Switch or even PC. This announcement followed with a listing on Nintendo’s storefront.
With all of this in consideration, the Spyro: Reignited Trilogy has now been purportedly listed for Switch on the game’s official website. The rumour comes via Twitter, with several browsers of the website capturing screenshots of the Nintendo Switch pre-order option before it was removed.
With the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy recently arriving on the Switch, it appears Spyro could also be on the way.

Yay I have a PC and Switch. Hopefully this wasn't just a goof and it's coming!
With Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy doing well on sales on the Switch its likely that Activision would port the Spyro Trilogy game for the Switch as well.

I mean, Crash is obviously doing very well enough as it is, Activision sees money with Spyro doing the same to the one system that has been having HUGE purchasing power.

Obviously Sony was too cheap to pay for two PS4 timed exclusives from Activision, so Sony paid a smaller (but still large) amount of money to make Spyro a temporary CONSOLE exclusive (meaning that they could still publish it on the Xbox One. Sony unlike Microsoft realizes that the true competitor isn’t the other box, but the PC. The Switch doesn’t count as a console sine it’s a Portable console. We’ll see Spyro in a year, unlike what @Knuckles-Fajita says it is not a mistake that somehow minutes after Spyro was announced that Nintendo UK posted a listing for a game. Having a release date off by a FEW days (BTW which wasn’t even a mistake, it was a temp. date, just like December 31st is a temp. date) is not good proof on how this is a mistake. Tell me what employee would accidentally post information of another game that’s not even coming to the system, they’re trying to sell?!?
Spyro on the Switch is probably going to be released along with the PC version next year.

1. The reason it was “wrong” is that it was a temporary release date to tell buyers roughly when the item is released. Again have you heard of December 31st release dates, I remember when according to every brick and mortar shop and Online retailer said Wolfenstein II was coming that day.
2. Even if it is a mistake again there’s a huge difference between a release date being “wrong” and a game being listed for a system that it’s not coming to. It’s like the difference in a biography between a typo and an entire chapter being made up.

Real talk, though; Skylanders is on its way out namely cause Activision pulled a Disney and couldn't sell through their projected allotment of new toys and versions of the same toy over and over again.
Honestly, if they just updated it like Lego Dimension did, I could have seen them outlasting the Toys-2-Life bubble.
@Knuckles-Fajita I'm avoiding the rest of this discussion, but Project CARS isn't a fair comparison. The developers told everyone that the game was coming to Wii U, then reneged.
@Knuckles-Fajita Do you have any other proof that the Nintendo UK store is unreliable other than an incorrect release date. It’s the difference between saying King Henry the VIII died on January 22, 1547 and writing a chapter about how he discovered the North Pole. And I don’t know why you bring up Project CARS for the Wii U as an example? I don’t know how it’s the fault of the retailer for a game being canceled.
Absolutely getting this if true. Now if only the Croc games also came to Switch... but I doubt that series will ever be touched again.

I'm planning on getting it for x1, but I will also get it for switch if it comes out on that.
This is not one, but TWO separate times TWO separate sites have listed it, and coming off the back of Crash success on Switch.
You'd have to be a madman to deny the statistical likelihood of it coming in the face of all that. You'd have a better chance of getting struck by lightning at the same time you scratch off a $1 million lottery ticket while simultaneously slipping on a banana peel and falling down the Grand Canyon.
Sounds like an early/mid 2019 port for Switch/PC.
I would be VERY surprised if this was not coming to Switch after Crash's success.

Worst kept secret was still Fortnite on Switch.
Thought it wold happen from the start. However i believe actionvision blizzard could not official announce it since Nintendo wanted to save it for a direct like they did with crash

@Knuckles-Fajita It's less blind faith and more of a reasonable expectation. They already ported the Crash Trilogy, it sold really well, and we're already seeing legitimate website leaks that confirm it.
The question isn't if it's coming, it's when is it coming? (Next year, most likely.)
I can't understand people who would double dip on something like this or Crash when they own a Switch. This isn't an audio/visual powerhouse like DOOM or Wolfenstein (in which case, I can understand why one would want to double dip for the superior at-home experience, similar to how one would want to upgrade to a Blu-ray or UHD Blu-ray of a film or TV show), but this...?

Sweet, I was less than enthused with the odd/unexpected Crash trilogy release, the 3rd one was the only one I really played/liked at all. But a Spyro trilogy? Oh yea! Now you're talkin'. They were a bit childish but colorful and very fun. Hope this happens and pretty sure it will. I don't see any reason why it wouldn't.
It's just a question of when, not if.
Cool. But I'll be getting it on PS4 thanks. Suppose this is part of the "more announcements" that are coming. At least it's kind of a new game
(shrugs) I already preordered it for PS4. I do love that it's coming out for youngsters who are growing up with a Switch instead of a PS4, as I grew up playing N64 and only ever took Pizza Hut's demo discs that had Spyro on them to my PlayStation-enabled cousin.
It would have been shocking if it DIDN'T come to Switch. I'm not particularly interested in HD remakes of the old games but I hope this foreshadows new Spyro games. I enjoyed the Skylanders games so it would be nice to get something along those lines minus having to buy $200 worth of toys to play them properly.

Well, both Nintendo and the game's website have accidentally said it's coming to Switch. I reckon that's got me pretty close to being 80% sure it is coming. But it might just be delayed, seeing as they haven't announced it yet.
@Kriandis. Not sure why it wouldn't be a physical release like all the others🤔, it generally is if all the others came out with physicals. Btw I'm waiting for that too.
Well...... I'll just say this! Any bookie willing to offer me 2/1 about this icon of 3D platforming classics coming to the Switch - and I'd happily bet a couple of grand in a heartbeat!!
