Nothing for me. My wallet's still trying to recover from last year...
No poll? Anyway nothing for me.
I recommend Darkest Dungeon
Probably just ACA Double Dragon for me!!!
Was hoping for another Turbo Graphix 16 VC game on Wii U, just to dig salt into that switch wound a bit deeper.
I get more excited for eShop sales than new releases these days...
Nothing for me. I already have Darkest D on ps4. Maybe I but it if the price drops to 10$ in a sale.
Kind of glad nothing for me this week.
That expansion pack DLC for Xenoblade 2 is the best example of DLC abuse. Looks like stuff easily built within game
Double Dragon, Shu, and the physical release of Wonder Boy: the Dragons Trap! Much more fun than a tech demo featuring junk from Nintendo's recycling bin
oh snap lost sphear already? Sigh I just started xenoblade 2....I need a clone.
Eh... Money is a bit tight at the moment, but for a $1.99 price tag, I may look into that "Oh, sir" game. Wouldn't be a huge loss if it turned out to be crappy.
Darkest Dungeon got a pre-order for physical, so... Technically that when it comes out?
I mean I helped fund it, so I have it on PC. Amazing game anyway you slice it.
Nothing interesting here.
Interested in Lost Sphear but am waiting for some more info/review on it.
Where is the poll? @dom
I want Darkest Dungeon, but I dunno if now is a good time to start that. I’m much more excited for Celeste next week!
double dragon is (i think) the first arcade archive game with new scanline settings. you can now choose between the usual off and soft (blurry) setting and a new sharp setting, so no blurring but with scanlines
Really debating on getting lost sphere. Already told myself i'll be getting dragon quest builders in feb. Plus i have monster hunter world preordered for next week. decisions decisions.... eh who am i kidding i'll get both xD.
Only game is good is Darkest Dungeon. Rest of them are shovelware.
The two DD's for sure (Darkest Dungeon and Double Dragon). Is it time Lost Sphear already? Man, there's too much right now!
@Bustacap Oh? I've been hoping that'd be added at some point. I gotta check it out.
Double Dragon for sure
What, no Zero Gunner?
Haven't brought any games in a while due to limited cash but I would give Oh...Sir! The Insult Simulator a whirl for a change of pace.
is it still 20 bucks for that DLC for Xenoblade Chronicles 2?
"Free super addictive family game fun for kids, teenagers and grownups."
Oh dear...
Xenoblade expansion.pack!!
Ambition of the Slimes is pretty good but it’s free on iOS so I would get it there instead of the eShop.
@faint No poll this week guys, but we'd still love to hear all your choices here in the comments
I have heard shu is good! Will there be a review? World to the west looks awesome... slimes looks fun.... and dd I hear is good... dang so much. Is dd full rogue like? Like starting all over every time you die?
Just demos this week. I had downloaded the Implosion demo from the Japanese eShop, so I'll delete that one and download the US version now.
A bit of a weak week! I'm saving my money for Strikers 1945 II and Zero Gunner 2 next week.
@Dom Why?
Wait, link a pix?! sold.
Darkest Dungeon is way too expensive compared to last week's PSN price. Give me a sale and I'll grab it.
Lost Sphear and Night in the Woods for me next week
I don't think this new guy has been trained yet on how to add the poll to these weekly updates.
Double Dragon
I second the complaint about the price of Darkest Dungeon. I want it, and I'll get it at some point, but for now, I'll hold of double dipping right away. It's an excellent game, and if I hadn't owned it for quite a while already on Steam, I'd be probably all over it right now, but as it stands, I'll just wait.
// I would be okay with the price IF the DLCs were included. As it was with Iron Cast, which was cheaper, but had the added bonus of included DLCs as well.
FYI, Baseball Riot's core gameplay looks exactly like Tennis in the Face from the same developer. C'mon Hamster, we really need Baseball Stars Professional!
So is the Xenoblade Chronicles 2 expansion DLC pass free? I don't see any pricing on it.
No one is curious about ChromaGun? I am! Hoping a review is coming soon
Guess the quiet period is over! 🤣🤣 Double Dragon for sure the rest I have to sort through!
Nothing for me this week.
Going to pick up Double Dragon and the demos.
@sinalefa yeah you are right, I knew something was missing.
@therealgamer Lost Spear, Shu, Vesta and Chromagun are shovelware? Metacritic and PS4 user reviews for Shu and Chromagun say otherwise. While the other 2 are yet to be reviewed but are in no way shovelware. So as usual, you're talking out your ass again.
Just Double Dragon for me this week but there are 2 or 3 I'm interested in, namely Shu and Vesta. Next week I'll be downloading Strikers 1945 II, Zero Gunner 2 and Celeste. Can't wait!
There will be no waiting for me...will gladly triple-dip on Darkest Dungeon this weekend!
I was gonna pick up The Darkest Dungeon but now that I know the physical retail edition* will be coming in March, I will just have to be patient.
*with all the DLC's of course.
@NinChocolate Next week.
As I read the comments, I feel the need to clarify something about the XC2 dlc:
You're not buying this week's extras items and quests for €20, you're buying those all well as the upcoming still unfinished new slice of story/content. Think "Breath of the Wild The Champions Ballad" sized portion of extra game in the end of the year if you need some sort of comparison.
Double Dragon first. Then mayyyybe Chromagun, depending on the reviews.
double dip on Darkest Dungeon so EXCITE
Ya, I wouldnt pay that price for darkest dungeon. I have it on Steam, and while it's well done for what it is, I personally found it to get repetitive after a while.
double dragon.
Because this site won't post about Nintendo without a press release to copy from: https://www.nintendo.co.uk/News/2018/January/Weekly-download-news-1329087.html for Europe news. Includes a tasty Return to PopoloCrois sale for £8.99
I think i'm going to pick up World to the West
Arcade Archives Double Dragon is a very pleasant surprise. It's funny that I was just lamenting yesterday that the original arcade version of that game was pulled from Xbox Live before I ever even bought my 360. I'm not going to miss it this time!
I'm 200+ hours into Xenoblade 2, and I love the game, but so far, I haven't seen any DLC content that justifies the $30 price tag for its Expansion Pass. Think I'm going to continue holding out on that.
Double Dragon! And Vinnie Vincent returns!!!
@Alto There's a demo for Lost Sphear if you're interested
As for this week, the first THING I'm doing when I get home is starting the download for Double Dragon. That previous tease-and-take-away stunt was uncalled for previously, but I WILL get it this time. Lost Sphear I would be all over if I wasn't beginning my XC2 campaign now, so it'll have to wait for another time, another sale (same for I Am Setsuna).
Both Oh Sirs and Chromagun for me.
@Shiryu So glad I read that. Said I was going to pass on it, as I own it twice over already, but almost impulse bought. Would rather have physical, as I don't own it that way yet. Thanks.
European download mentions a complete edition for Darkest Dungeon, do US players not get that option?
Saving my money for Night in the Woods in February.
Very interested in Darkest Dungeon, but I have too much to play already, so I'm gonna pass until it goes on sale.
@Shiryu ah next week, thanks
Will be getting Darkest Dungeon definitely, in fact I already bought it.
@Shiryu I feel your comment was meant to have less compassion and more comparison. 😆
@NinChocolate
Zero Gunner 2 (and also Strikers 1945 II) come out on the 25th of January in western regions.
Double Dragon, for sure. Might pick up Darkest Dungeon. Still mystified as to why Crazy Climber hasn't been released yet. (Licensing? Bugs?) I need to continue collecting my 80's arcade games. /nod
@Alikan ... autocorrect. This is how Skynet will win in the end.
I want to pick up Darkest Dungeon, but I need to finish up Pokemon Ultra Moon first. I have a rather large backlog from last year.
What, no colorful chart of bars where I can compare the average NL visitor's desires to the weekly downloads?
Guess I'll be playing the new xenoblade 2 quests.
@EmirParkreiner Nice! Here I thought Zero Gunner 2 was going to be Japan exclusive, I was about to create a Japanese account if that was the case lol.
@Dom Did Night in the Woods come out this week in NA?
Guys, do a favor to yourselfs and pick Darkest Dungeon
@tasuki No, I believe it's out on 1st February, despite Nintendo listing it otherwise.
For those of you who haven't tried it, Implosion is really cool. I highly recommend.
Looking forward to those new quests in Xenoblade this weekend! I am still in Chapter 8 and after collecting all the blades, I have been doing their quests. A free overdrive protocol is very nice as well, I want to move Newt over to Morag.
Since the only major releases on wiiu last year were VC titles I'm surprised they haven't started the tg16 VC on 3ds here in the states or other VC titles. Would it really hurt them to put out 2-3 VC titles on 3ds every week?
@Alto FWIW Famitsu gave Lost Sphear the same 8/8/8/8 that they gave I Am Setsuna, so if you played that it should give you some idea of what to expect. From what I've seen it addresses two common complaints about Setsuna (neither of which I thought was a problem), the similarity of all of the locations and the sparseness of the piano music. Of course if you haven't played Setsuna then none of this will be useful.
Where is the WIIU eshop update? because there are still games arriving on it.
Anybody that gets Darkest Dungeon is going to be in for a treat, and might need treatment afterwards.
Having played a ton of that game on the PS-Vita, I can tell you that game is amazingly good, but also wickedly challenging and tense.
wow the 3ds upcoming releases are lame
