The Switch, for some, has become a fashion piece with fans constantly coming up with new ideas to customise the console/handheld in tribute to their favourite Nintendo franchises. One that has stood out amongst most is from YouTuber MakoMod, who has taken inspiration from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild to create this Sheikah-themed Switch. By redecorating everything from the Joy-Cons to the Docking Station, this Switch looks like its being plucked right out of Hyrule.
Details like the Zelda Z with the Master Sword passing through it on the left Joy-Con and the Triforce emblem on the right show how much effort has gone into this. The dock itself has been designed to look like stone, with the buttons reflecting the same. You then have a wooden overlay with crisp gold patterns surrounding the screen.
Check out this bit of kit below:
You can actually purchase the custom designed Switch, however it comes at a high price of 610.00 Euros (£535.31 apx).

That is beautiful but ridiculously unpractical at that price.
Looks good, except the stitching around the screen looks a bit shoddy. If you are paying that much for it, it should be perfect. Not that i would.
It is not quite as finely finished around the screen as I would like, but overall it looks very nice. I hope the person who buys it only uses it for ornamental purposes. I feel like the paint will come off on their thumbs or something and it would just fall apart.
Now that is a thing of beauty. Massive props to the creator. Amazing.
@8-Bit_Zorldo Agreed.
I'm not actually enamored by it. It looks cheap and nasty. Especially the gold paint around the screen edge. Not for me.
It looks nice, but I wouldn't buy it.
That Monster Hunter XX Limited Edition Switch and dock, however... I've been struggling internally over for a month now.
I can't get over the design of having the Z on the left joy-con and the triforce on the right joy-con. Your mind fills in the blanks and spells ZELDA with it. It's very clever (assuming it was intentional)
Beautiful!
A bit impractical, but it's a great labor love and a fine art/conversation piece.
It seems I am the only one who thinks that it doesn't look that nice. I mean, I can see the effort they put in. The material looks nice, but not on a console imo.
Looks beautiful but very uncomfortable to play.
Everyone, we need to learn from ifixit or Youtube how to disassemble Switch (tablet / Joy Cons), Custom Spray its body with our desired colors, reassemble and Voila !
Your Custom colored Switch !
Eh...Looks kind of ugly to me...
That's one way to ruin a perfectly good Switch, talk about fugly. It's not like there's a shortage, or anything...
Very cool looking. Nintendo should start making them all look like that dump the neon nonsense.
$700 umm No thank you lol..looks real cool tho
I don't care if it has Zelda stuff on it. It's still no excuse to ask that much money for a weak console/handheld! I guess there's always a fool. I hope they will flatline
