We've known for some time that Natsume is showing off new 3DS title Harvest Moon: Skytree Village at E3, and now it's released an extended trailer. It helps to visualise a lot of the details that were recently confirmed, as this one clearly aims to get the series back on the front foot.
Take a look below.
In good news for PAL gamers, Rising Star Games has also confirmed that it's bringing the title to Europe 'and beyond' in Spring 2017; we don't actually have a window for North America yet (being published by Natsume), but it's likely to be earlier or in the same broad period.
Do you like the look of this one? Let us know in the comments.

I so want this game. It looks amazing. I love that you can upgrade your tools to do more tilling, watering and planting
Paging @Barbiegurl777
Dammit my heart skipped several beats when the 3DS' screen frame in the thumbnail loaded up.
Yes, I'm desperate.
This certainly looks a bit better than the other Harvest Moon game Natsume put out a few years ago. That being said...this is still nothing more than a wolf in sheep's clothing. Story of Seasons Trio of Towns will get my money when Xseed brings it stateside next year, can't beat the original.
This already looks awesome, can't wait to play it.
It's like, TLV but even better.
I had trouble finishing the trailer. It effectively turned off all interest for this game. I loved Friends of Mineral Town but this doesn't seem interesting to me.
story of season looks waay better save your money for that game
Still waiting for a return to home console for either version of the bokumono franchise but I think I'll stick with the original story of seasons for now.
@Claytonbob I couldn't finish the trailer either.
Story of Seasons will be getting my money.
Looks better than The Lost Valley, but not by much. I'll wait until Story of Seasons: Trio of Towns comes out next year, and just play Stardew Valley in the mean time.
@Dakt
I think you might be referring to the new "Story of Seasons" game, which is basically another Harvest Moon series being done by the "real" Harvest Moon devs.
This made my face distort in a bad way and its hard to make it go back. I'll wait for the REAL Harvest Moon.
The announcer isn't doing this game any favors...
This looks like it makes some serious improvemens over Lost Valley which failed miserably to live up to its potential. Looks like some of the mind-numbingly tedious mechanics (namely only being able to water one tile at a time) and the utterly idiotic perpetual winter in the first year concept have been removed. The lack of a town was also a disappointment in that game so it's good to see it return. Glad to see the terrain customization remains, though hopefully it'll be handled better. I'd say it'll be worth keeping an eye on. You don't HAVE TO choose between this and Story of Seasons. If this gets good reviews I'll play both.
@Barbiegurl777
Stardew Valley looks like your kinda thing too!
Hm... this is looks like the sequel of The Lost Valley before.
I can say TLV 2. Well, i still saw minecraft terrains over there (I don't like blocky texture), I still saw same Goddess Place (But with some updates), I still saw novel visual conversation (Oh my ... my wish never granted), same characters (a few), etc. The milk can was so huge and looks weird. The way of planting or watering looks very powerful. Well, i will take a look again for next trailer. I still doubt to choose this game after i sold HM:TLV after 1 day purchased back on 2014 before.
When comparing this to Story of Seasons, it will not measure up b/c there is simply way more to do, and more bachelors. However, when taken on its own (which will be hard for those who are used to Marvelous' Harvest Moons), it could be a nice game.
@HandheldGuru97
Personally I feel like Stardew Valley proved that the original can in fact be beaten (or at least competed with). For me it's been the best farming sim experience to date (and I've been playing farm sims since Harvest Moon came out on the game boy). It's not the most aesthetically pleasing experience, but the game play more than makes up for that I think.
For myself, I won't be dismissive of this game simply because it isn't from the Story of Seasons brand. I see potential in this game, more so than in TLV.
Side note: why is it that the Harvest Goddess keeps getting forgotten? Apparently she's not that memorable...just saying.
