Nintendo seems to like adding new weapons to Splatoon on Wednesdays now, with the Slosher Deco arriving on 25th November.
Amusingly Nintendo of Europe accidentally tweeted images of the original Slosher originally, but we couldn't really see the difference between that and the 'deco' weapon on the way. Well, clearly the deco will have an alternative setup and sub weapons, but visually the key change is with yellow arrows on the side. Natty.

Will you be hopping onto Splatoon to try out this new weapon? Let us know!

The Splash Wall and Kraken seems like a weird combo for the Slosher, but it will be pretty helpful for those times when you get cornered by someone.
@Iggly Regardless, it's better than burst bombs, at least for me anyway. I can't seem to use that sub properly.
It's not for me but I can imagine this causing me some grief.Waiting on the splash wall to finish only for them to turn into Kraken.Nightmare!
@MasterWario Hit an opponent with ink and throwing a Burst Bomb immediately is faster than throwing ink on them twice for a kill
I don't know how I'll manage to play without Burst Bombs with Slosher. Gotta play around with it to find a way.
I'm terrible with the Splash Wall and love Burst Bombs.. I'll try this weapon out for sure, but I'll most likely keep the original Slosher as my main.
@Porky: I love that slosh once then burst bomb kill combo! It looks like this Slosher will be much more defensive than offensive. I'm not sure if I can leave the burst bombs behind... they're so useful!
Slosher is my main, and I might try this out but won't make the full time switch. You can't make me give up my inkstrike!!!
oh yeeaaaah! I'm a bucket guy. Will have to try this out
.....okay, but when's the next Splatfest?
@MasterWario Burst Bombs are actually my favourite sub. You can throw four of them, which isn't possible with any other sub. I usually extend their throw range (one or two main slots) to have a long range weapon.
Then you can kill your enemy with two well-placed throws or just keep them from splatting you if they're main weapon has a higher range than yours.
For shorter ranges, my standard technique is to first throw a burst bomb into their face and then follow up with my main weapon. This way you need less shots for a kill.
@shani I love jumping off high platforms with burst bomb then using main weapon xD
The Splash Wall takes up too much ink to deploy when the Slosher itself also uses a lot of ink (like 13 'shots' per refill if you stay for the duration). You'd also have to use up a couple seconds off the Wall's 6-ish second active time just to refill. That is, if the other team isn't already shooting it down. For an aggressive Slosher player like me, this is a highly situational loadout. I'd probably only use it in TC, and the Kraken would be nice for that, too.
Oh, but I would give my left tentacle for a build with Point Sensor or Echolocator, or even a Disruptor!
@ReshaSong Death from above is SO satisfying with the Slosher!
