Event: Splatoon EGX Team Championships 2015

This sounds so cool!

Does anyone know if there's gonna be more updates or more content soon for Splatoon? I have just bought it, like two weeks ago, and it's amazing, though I think there is a little quantity of arenas, I hope they add more.

I won't being able to register then seeing as I could only get hold of a standard day ticket oh well I'll still be there to watch Saturday! Hope to see you lovely people there having fun 😀

So are you making random teams or can pre-arranged teams enter as a team? I only ask b/c the logo says "EGX Team Championships".
Either way, will the players be in earshot of 1 another? I'm not a big communicator myself and do just fine playing alone in my dark basement, but if I were ever to enter a team based tournament I really feel like voice chat is mandatory for the "Team" to compete as a team. And even just watching such a tournament I'd rather see the team playing as a team and not in 8 players in soundproof rooms as Nintnedo intended.

@Aran Oh yeah there is. They add a map every now and then, new weapons, and clothes stuff quite steadily. I hope it doesn't begin to slow down yet.

will this be streamed at all?

@Aran Have you played and mastered all 12 available maps during the past weeks? (But yes, there will be more maps.)

@jariw no, I think I have played all of them but I don't consider myself a master, as I said I just bought the game, but I don't think getting and wanting more content is a bad thing, is it?
@Chillama I hope so, sounds great then! It's a pretty fun game with good content, hope it gets more.

Man what I would give to be there... it's a shame that there isn't anything comparable in Germany.

So Nintendo has a LAN build of Splatoon? Update Splatoon with these features, Nintendo, and update the Wii U software to allow LAN gaming, and I'll buy three more Wii Us and three more Splatoon discs! I'd love to have a group of friends over to regularly play at least 2v2 Splatoon!

@Aran I bought it at launch, I was away a few weeks during the summer, and Splatoon felt like a major free expansion pack when I got back

...But it's in Birmingham. No deal.

It's a pitty too, cuz I'm sh*t hot at Splatoon.

I'm attending EGX all day Saturday, and I'm exceptionally good at Splatoon, but I won't be able to get there in time for the qualifier ;-;
