EA Sports President, Peter Moore, made it clear that he was disappointed with the sales performance of Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11 on the Wii, even though it was a critically-acclaimed title. Whatever the cause of the sales numbers was, it was evident that EA Sports would have to do something special if interest is to bounce back up on the golfing franchise. How is it going to do that with this year's instalment? By introducing a new tournament to the series.
Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12: The Masters does what it says on the tin. EA is hoping the addition of The Masters Tournament will recapture gamers' interest in the Tiger Woods-fronted franchise, and as the youngest player to have ever won the tournament as a 21-year-old phenom back in 1997, it seems apt that such a major anual tournament should be implemented into a video game series on which he has his name.
What's also interesting with this year's instalment is the inclusion of Wii Balance Board support to provide gamers with more input into achieving those power shots. Read on to find out what else is on offer in the official press release:

The best sports video game just got a mile better. Augusta makes this a day-one purchase.
Golf games are too boring for me. At ,least realistic ones. So no, I'd rather get something else.
I'm still quite content with 2010, the first to use MotionPlus.
@Atlantis1982
Yeah, I need to start playing PGA Tour 10 again. Time to shake off the dust and get my arse kicked online.
No Disc Golf mentioned...has me worried.
I kept holding out hope they'd make Career mode playable with Discs instead of Golf Clubs, but could it have gone the other way and eliminated Disc Golf altogether?
I bought 11 and sold it a week later, with 12 coming out so quickly (~10 months later!) I have to think not much could have realistically been added. Maybe it will give me a chance to get 11 used on the cheap, it was a GREAT game, I just didn't have time for it at the time so I sold it while the value was high .
2010 is all the golf I need for this gen and probable the next. Sports games should only have one entry a gen in my opinion. That way they can just focus on one game and bring dlc to add new modes and roster updates. This make a sports game every year thing is getting really stale.
No disc golf would be no sale, but to be honest I wouldn't get it even with disc golf if it didn't now have real disc golf courses, or at least fake ones. Playing disc golf on regular golf courses isn't right. Were's the forest of trees to navigate and such? I wish we'd get a great disc golf specific game. Oh well.
I like my share of realistic sports sims, but with golf I'm content with the versions in Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort.
Maybe if they released several new iterations of what's essentially the same game every year instead of just one new version, they would sell better. I would probably buy multiple copies of each.
I own Tiger 10, never buying another game with his name on it you cheating man w****.
im might get this one
