Announced during September's Super Mario 35th Anniversary Direct broadcast, it may have taken a few years, but one of the Wii U's finest titles is finally making its long-awaited leap to Switch. Super Mario 3D World + Bower's Fury brings the original game's four-player 3D Mario action to Nintendo's current console and adds an extra expansion to the mix for people who already played it on Wii U back in 2013.
Even without that new content, we'd be snapping this unmissable game up and taking it for a second spin on Switchwhen it arrives on 12th February 2021. In addition to the game, though, there's also a rather lovely Mario Red & Blue Switch console and a couple of furry critters are being added to Nintendo's amiibo line-up on the same day. We say 'furry', but Cat Mario and Cat Peach look a little less fluffy in plastic form — still, they're super cute and it'll be tough to resist adding them to our amiibo shelf.
If you're eager to get your claws into this one, we've collected the best Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury pre-order deals in the US and UK below. We'll keep an eye out for more information and pre-order deals, so check back for your favoured retailer(s) later.
There's also some irresistible 3D World plushies available with or without the game in the UK — check out the offers below.

I usually just wait for Nintendo UK Store to open their pre-orders.
I want to know what they do first. If they just unlock stuff you can earn through gameplay, I'll leave it as I've got more than enough at this point, regardless of how good they look.
Let's see what they do first, but I would like it if they were shiny/smooth instead. The fur effect is really odd
Terrible missed opportunity. Should have been actually furry. If Wooly Yoshi amiibos didn't have to be plastic, these didn't either.
I might get them but I’m typically not that much of an amiibo collector. The only ones I have felt compelled to own are the Zelda amiibos and I have every single one. I REALLY liked 3D World though so we’ll see...
Def tempted. Interesting mario is a yellow cat. Was that just a Wii U era thing? Cos he had yellow overalls in mario maker too.
I preordered them, but did I use the affiliate links...? Of course not.
@Sourcecode that’s a great set to have if you didn’t go down the rabbit hole like I did. I resisted at first because I knew I’d end up getting the lot if I started, but the wife saw some she liked, I relented... and now I have pretty much all of them (Smash, Zelda, Mario series, FE, AC, Splatoon, Shovel Knight, Woolly Yoshis & Poochy). They are awesome, they just take up so much space.
February 12th?
That's like after the zombie apocalypse, UFO invasion, super-volcano and Cthulhu's awakening.
Wonder what 2021 will bring?
I made the decision to stop collecting amiibo figures on October the 10th 2018 and the last one that I bought was Solaire of Astora.
I, and my wallet especially, have been feline fine ever since. XD
@georgesdandre @Kimyonaakuma Agreed. Not a fan of that texturing.
If I see it at toys-r-us I’ll consider buying them
Mario 3D World is probably my favourite Mario game.
I love how it takes the format of SMB3 and SMW and switches it to a 3D perspective and adds multiplayer.
It's an absolute joy that feels fresh but nostalgic at the same time.
Plus, I love cats.
Preordered these, couldn't resist.
no thank you, l already have to deal with 2 furry sisters at home....ew
@JohnnyC : I have a feeling that they'll just spawn cat bells. Ideally, I hope they do something more substantial in the Bowser's Fury portion of the game.
@Silly_G It would suck if it was something substantial like unlocking the Mario 3D World levels in Captain Toad's Treasure Tracker, and then they became typically impossible to find.
@JohnnyC : I doubt they would do something like that.
It would be neat if they did something similar to the pixel Toad mode in Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker on Wii U (it was unlocked by default in the Switch/3DS release).
@Silly_G Yep. On an unrelated note, I really hope the Mario 3D World levels get added as dlc to the switch version. Would be nice if they did that to tie in with the release of Mario 3D World in February.
Hard pass....the suit was cool in the game, but not sure this does anything for me at all as an Amiibo.
I pick and choose my Amiibo that I buy versus a Pokemon approach to them. I will get Mario if I get one. I don't like Peach's pose...to be frank, we have 2 cats, and she looks like she is taking a dump in her litter box.
Can I just mark out how BEAUTIFUL it looks. But, what do they do? Do you unlock something, does it give you the Cat Bell Powerup?
@AJDarkstar Hang them on the wall with tacks... ‘s’what I do
Ordered them through Wallmart; thanks for heads up! (I wish it was double pack as those usually go up in value) I also picked Piranha Plant to get free shipping.
@AJDarkstar I have a few other ones other than Zelda but I’m a HUGE Zelda fanatic so I had to have all of them. I do have the Metroid amiibos but if they decided to make a huge collection of them (or Pokemon for that matter) I’d probably fall to the temptation lol.
@Sourcecode well you certainly have great taste in games. I’ve been a fan of the Zelda series for many years too, and BOTW is one of my favourite games.
@AJDarkstar I would even go as far to say that BOTW is my favorite game of all time. Nothing has captured that magic and sense of adventure that I haven’t had since I was a kid quite like BOTW has. I’m absolutely stoked for the sequel.
@Sourcecode me too. I put over 200 hours into BOTW, which is very rare for me. Everything about it was so well done. I really love exploring an open world, and that was possibly the best.
@Antraxx777 that’s one option. I like to open mine and put them on display. I had a few shelves put up for that very purpose, though I could do with some risers to better see the ones at the back, I just can’t find precisely what I’m after.
I wonder if they'd do about the same thing they did in Odyssey. While a big part of buying Amiibo for me is just to have them, it is nice when they do something cool in the game.
So it proves that the $20 and $25 Monster Hunter amiibo's are simply overpriced thanks to Gamestop...
Does anybody know in Smash bros world it give you a Mario fighter, or peach whichever you get, or would the game give you a spirit. If anybody knows please tell me!
How come the NA options are not dual pack????
@Ulysses what lunatic thinking is that. Walmart could care less what GameStop does.
Why are those articles called "guide"? This is just a list of affiliate links, not much of a guide
@AJDarkstar Why not use the affiliate links? It helps to pay the salary of the writers on a site you seem to like reading.
@RandomNerds because if the site can’t pay its writers without using such links, it’s not sustainable.
@AJDarkstar The media business is incredibly hard. I guess they could just plaster the site more adds and remove the affiliate links, but that would suck.
@RandomNerds but it’s far more sustainable and reliable. They don’t need to flood us with ads, just use them sensibly. Affiliate links are like someone standing there holding their hat out. And whenever they post links to game preorders, it’s only ever the sites selling for £49.99, never the £42.85 ones like ShopTo.
The luigi plush looks so sad
I don't understand why those amiibo aren't flocked?
I'm really feline it, but I never pre-order. Will get it for sure, I know I will love, as much as I loved it back in the day or even more.
We are gamers. Do we really need to be told where to preorder?! I think we’ve gotten it figured out by now. Just sayin...
Nintendo UK Store just added a Steelbook and sticker sheet to all game orders.

^ Yes - just got notification my order had been magically upgraded! Didn't need, but nice gesture
@mr_benn
I'd pre-ordered from 365games instead of Nintendo UK store, and I'd really like that Steelbook so I'm gonna have to figure this out.
@rupeeclock Ordering through Nintendo UK I was also able to choose from some other random giveaway tat so I got the Paper Mario Origami set too for free.
