Metroid Dread: Where To Go After You Get The Morph Ball Ability

Now that you've finally nabbed the ability to Morph Ball from the green E.M.M.I. on Cataris, it's time to make a beeline back to Artaria. In order to do this we're going to head directly for the red icon you can see in our map below. This is a teleporter, the first you'll come across in the game, which takes us back to a new area of Artaria where we'll get our hands on the Varia Suit.

In order to get to this area you're going to employ your new skill of rolling into a ball and make your way down to the location shown below. Roll under the alien structure and you'll arrive in this area where you can use the recharge station then shoot out the blocks to the top left, jump up and shoot out some more blocks to reveal a Morph Ball tunnel.

Once you've rolled through this tunnel keep heading to the left and you'll soon come to the Morph Ball maze shown in our pics below. Jump up into this and make your way to the top where you'll find our red teleporter. We're off to Artaria!

As soon as you arrive in Artaria, jump down from the teleporter platform and into the water below. Head left from here and up into the save room. Save your game and exit to the left, jump up into the tunnel, grab the energy tank and keep heading upwards.

You'll eventually come to the interactive device that we've marked in the map below. Once you press this you're going set off a dangerous chain reaction and you'll need to flee the area. This part is fairly straightforward with only one means of escape that will lead you naturally up and out until you reach the red missile door that we've pictured. Shoot the door, head into the long corridor and you should be able to see the statue holding your Varia Suit just above you. Jump up, grab it and get ready to turn up the heat.
