Metroid Dread What To Do When You Arrive In Dairon

You've reached the third region in Metroid Dread and this is going to be one super quick pitstop as we're only here to grab our next upgrade, the Wide Beam, before getting right back to Cataris to put it to good use. The path towards the wide beam is fairly linear, however we do know a few players have got a little stumped at points here so let's take a closer look at how to move through this area.

The first thing we need to do as we move eastwards on the map is get to a generator room in order to switch on the power to the location that holds our next upgrade. In order to do this make your way to the location shown in the map below, through a darkened room where you'll need to shoot out a couple of beam blocks on the floor in order to proceed.

Once the power has been restored we're gonna backtrack and head up to the location shown below, open the red missile door and enter the statue room indicated to nab our prize. Once you've got the Wide Beam, leave the room via beam blocks you can shoot out on the floor.

From here we're now going to employ our new gadget to shift some wide beam doors and make our way back to the shuttle by passing briefly through the area's E.M.M.I. zone where we want to head up and to the right in order to exit facing the wide beam block shown below. Knock this obstacle out of your way and you're home free and on your way to Cataris where an old foe is waiting.
