Due to not following the Direct live, here's my reaction upon seeing the announcement's article on NintendoLife with my phone.
No wonder so many people tagged me in said article - the portable companion game was kind of overdue, and at last I can create stages on the go (in addition to the WiiU itself, which I always supported)! So... thank you, Nintendo!
I nearly cried. During the whole Nintendo Direct 1/9/2016 video, I was on the verge of tears. Being a loyal 3DS owner, but not owning a Wii U, I was so happy that this game and Yoshi's Wooly World are getting ported to the 3DS. Making Mario stages on the go was always my dream. Thank you, Nintendo.
Now to wait until December 2nd:D
But, seeing the Direct video, there are a lot more 3DS games I can play until then, so don't rush it.
I can see why Nintendo did this. The 2 comments above this comment clearly show there is an audience for this. However, this seems more Local then the Wii U version because you cannot play other 3DS made levels. At least you can play Wii U levels! Now, I want to see more people rage at Pit Of Panga.
tbh, the decisions that they are making for this title are a bit dumb. such as not bring able to share levels or searching by ID or amiibo support.
hopefully there is an export type of feature so you can get your level onto the wii u one way or another.
