Clickety, if you weren't so alluring I'd have stepped away some time ago. But you'll find I'm polite by nature to everyone here.
I stand by my statements you quoted above, but I do "really think that games can not be compared cross platform because they have different control schemes..." for the purposes of review score calculation. This was at the heart of my position.

I guess we may as well change the topic name to clicketyclick vs vendetta xD. It is a hard topic to debate though. Since graphics are lacking sure, but u cant beat the controls on wii for me at least, i like motion. AND YES IVE PLAYED BOTH a 360 (halo 3) and a ps3 (my neighbour has one, ive played lots on it)

There's no versus here, honestly. Clickety and I are good, it's just that sometimes these threads provide more of a challenge than a solution to sorting out differing points of view. One missed point in one post, and the whole discussion can get easily derailed. Happens to us all. I've seen it done on purpose, but I honestly don't think that's the case here.

Alright, have at it then, its all in the name of love though!

I'm sorry but Dual Analog is a joke. After using a Wii Remote and Nunchuck/Mouse and Keyboard, or even a DS stylus I just don't get why the Wii isn't recognized as having the best console FPS controls.

@Kid_A: Seriously, right? I said a while back, could you imagine going to an arcade and seeing an FPS with joystics and buttons? There's hardly a FPS comparison to be made among the consoles, just on the controls alone.

Do you have The Conduit? Sorry if you've mentioned it other threads, I really don't take notes. I have it, thoroughly enjoy it, and play it exclusively with a Zapper. With the controls tweaked, it rocks like that - believe it!

Put me in the group that still prefers the ol' standard controller.

I started playing Killzone 2 again today and I can't imagine having to play it with a Wii remote.

I think the review is fair... even though it compares the game to games on other consoles, which I don't like (much like Vendetta), he also does so in a way that makes it very clear that this is a good find on the Wii.
Maybe the "rental" shot was a little cheap, but the game just isn't that great. Just because the Wii limits graphics and fancy-smancy stuff doesn't excuse the absolutely awful story. I mean really... who said: "yes, I want to make a game based on that story!"
All in all, I think the review was fair and kept everyone (multi-platform owners and Wii-exclusive owners) in mind.
Wait, was this a debate?

The reason the Wii isn't recognized as having the best FPS controls is because it doesn't. The Wiimote is far too imprecise to be better than a standard controller or mouse/keyboard, and don't even get me started on trying to use a stylus for the genre.

I don't have it--yet. I plan on buying it before the year is out. I have played it though--a friend of mine has it. The story is a bit cliche, but the controls are seriously the best console FPS controls ever.

What are you talking about? The Wii pointer is 100% accurate. Now, gesture controls can be innacurate, but in a shooter those aren't necessary anyway. Dual Analog forces you to aim with your thumb, which works okay, but isn't even close to matching the accuracy of a pointer or a mouse and keyboard. I don't understand your argument. Perhaps you just suck at FPS?

Ouch, harsh shot xD. I also find using thumbs to be very bogus in fps's, especially if I want to turn 360 degrees around and run, or quickly change where i'm aiming (i mean very quickly). Wii allows me to do that. So i agree aiming is very simple, but throwing grenades sometimes is hard for gestures and such too. I really think Kid_A is quite right about controls here.

I agree with the review. Compared to other FPSs on other systems, this doesn't hold a candle. The controls are what make this game passable, they're great. I find online laggish and suckish, again, compared to juggernauts like Halo 3 and CoD. If this was on the 360, nobody would bat an eyelash. I'm with Alex on everything he says here. "It's good for a Wii game" doesn't cut it for me, a guy with multiple consoles. I want the game to be good. PERIOD.

Dual Analog FTW also. It's far more precise, with the Wiimote you have to keep your arm stiff and all for analog precision. And if turning isn't fast enough for ya DaDun, up your sensitivity. One number at a time.

Ill be sure to try that in our next halo fest in school lol, i just think it will inconvenience everyone else who wants to play after me though lol

You're surely right. I don't want to flame, but anyone who feels any difficulty playing The Conduit isn't holding the Wii Remote correctly, have the sensor bar placed incorrectly or just suck at it. The combo Wii Remote+Nunchuk is far better than keyboard+mouse, IMO.

Prepare to take heat for that comment lol, but i also prefer mo n chuck (wiimote and nunchuck nicknames ) over keyboard and mouse, but thats only because ive only ever played one game on keyboard on mouse vs wii controls which i play all the time. Im not a PC gamer, so thats probably why, ive always been solely a console gamer

The irony here being of course the possibility that maybe you guys just suck at FPS games using a dpad or mouse/keyboard and just need the overly generous aim assist that Wii FPS games seem to have. Sure, the Conduit is better than most on the Wii, but still falls behind.

I've been playing FPS on PC and consoles over many years, so that's not the case. You're confusing precision with aim assist, bad controls can't be the evil in games, good A.I should do that work. Unfortunately, many developers seem to rely on that to make their games harder.

Sorry, aim assist? You mean the fact that the Wii has more accurate aiming makes it worse? I should have to put up with dual analog just because it's more difficult to control? I don't understand what you're saying. The Wii doesn't have "aim assist". It just has better aiming capabilities than other consoles. On this you can not argue.
