Yeah, I second Water Warfare. Don't forget Cave Story!

@Yasume I'd add Overturn, it's a good mech-fighter with online support. I think it got an 8/10 here on NL

I've considered Overturn, but it got pretty bad reviews aside from the 8/10 from Nintendolife. I also heard that Wifi is the best part of this game, but wouldn't that be dead by now?

About Water Warfare, does that game also have an enjoyable singleplayer experience? Because, like with Overturn, there probably aren't that many people online now.

Cave Story isn't out here yet, but I'll definitely get it on release date.

Any other suggestions?

@Yasume: I didn't think it was bad at all. See here: http://bit.ly/9qI58z
Yep, multiplayer is the best part but activity is not as rampant as it once was.

There's always people online in Water Warfare's Battle Royal [Single/Team] mode. Other modes, not so much, which is a shame since those are really fun. Plus, I'm always playing as do people here on NL. Single-player experience is pretty fun for a while, yeah. But even with the computers set to Hard, I would always win so I stopped playing on my own.

What are you mostly looking for in a prospective WiiWare game?

Hmm, I might reconsider Water Warfare, but I'm sure about Overturn. I'm not going to get that one, because Wifi is pretty much dead and the singleplayer experience isn't good.

Your site is awesome by the way. If I find the time I'm going to read through it carefully.

I'm not looking for anything specific in a WiiWare game. As long as it's a good game I'll buy it.

Oh wow, thank you VERY much for the kind words! We're working hard to improve the quality of our site so suggestions are always welcome, as is positive feedback. It's very encouraging.

Might I recommend Flowerworks?

KnucklesSonic8

Yasume

Yes, I'm probably getting Flowerworks because the EU version is getting some advantages in comparison to the NA version. I still think that 1000 points is a bit too much for the game though, but it seems to get positive reviews everywhere. You seem to like this game very much too.

Lol, I sure do. I take it you saw my review.
I don't think 1,000 is too much given how lengthy the game is. Compare it to some of the other games priced at 1,000 and it bests them in terms of value.

I'm getting a points card (and I already have 200 Points left on my Wii) with Galaxy 2 tomorrow and I need to know what I should get with it, its between these four games:
Bit.Trip.Runner
Cave Story
Rage of the Gladiator
Sin and Punishment
or possibly Bit.Trip Beat and Void (Excluding Core due to certain comments about game, I'll get it with the free points I'll get from Sin and Punishment 2 anyway
So can you help me out?

That's a hard choice. Either the first three Bit. Trip games (Core is super awesome, you just have to pay attention and not suck), or Cave Story and Runner. Though it would make more sense to get the first three Bit. Trip games first, then you get a feel for the series.

Well I have thought about that it, it sure does seem more right in my mind, chronological order, but this is it for two months, I'll be at my grandparents without any high speed internet, so I need to choose wisely. However I know both Runner and Cave Story are considered legendary as far as WiiWare goes, so I don't know if that helps any, but we can kick out Gladiator now.

So you're looking for lengthy games, then? Or at least games that will give you good value? And offline experiences. I'll give it some thought and get back to you with some other suggestions you might consider, too.

Also, are you going tomorrow for the two-month period? I was just gonna suggest waiting to see Monday's games.

KnucklesSonic8

Supermarioman

Well yes KS8, but I do have about 20 games I'm looking at trying to beat during that period of time including many 20 hour games like FF7, Monster Hunter 3, and KOTOR, I'm pretty much buying something new and unique to play. Thats why I'm leaning towards the first 3 Bit.Trips, but Cave Story looks like great fun and Runner got a 10 (And if it gets a 10 on here I pretty much buy it because thats only happened twice for WiiWare now.) but yes re-playability would be nice since I'm going to be gone, but hell I can play the same songs on Guitar Hero over and over again, so the first 3 Bit Trips are edging out Cave Story and Runner for now, unless you can convince me otherwise or give me something even better to download.

KnucklesSonic8

I highly recommend you get at least one Bit.Trip game for sure. I'm not sure what games you already have on the WiiWare side of things, but I can also suggest Swords & Soldiers, The Magic Obelisk, and Flowerworks. Let me know if you want more info on any of these but the latter two in particular are games I'd describe as unique.

KnucklesSonic8

Supermarioman

Well I buy games rarely for WiiWare (I'm a physical media person).
Half the reason I want Bit Trip Beat is the demo that I loved. The rest of the games look great as well. As for what I own:
World of Goo
Dr. Mario Online RX
Magnetica Twist
FFCC: MLaaK
DYC
Lostwinds
Groovin' Blocks
and thats it. I tried the other FFCC demo and didn't really like it and same goes for NyxQuest. I was wondering if you played any of Helix, I'm looking at it some as well. But the ones you mentioned aren't high on my list of want.

Supermarioman

KnucklesSonic8

Yeah, I really enjoy Helix, personally. I'm big on music games but it seems like you might be too, owning Groovin' Blocks and all.

I wrote a mini review of it some time ago if you're interested: http://bit.ly/dhoOLz

So obviously, you can't get all Bit.Trip's even if you wanted to (with the single card). So which ones are you leaning more to, BEAT and RUNNER?

KnucklesSonic8

Supermarioman

Well Runner looks good, but I'm between Beat, Void, and Core or Beat, Void or Beat, and Helix, I like Music a lot, I have over 800 songs on my computer and I have 3 Guitars for different systems and I have a real Electric Guitar and Electric Piano, SO I REALLY like music, but I have had almost enough of Guitar Hero and Rock Band and I'm looking for something different. So its more of is Helix better then either Void or Core pretty much now.

Supermarioman

KnucklesSonic8

How about Core, Void, and Helix? You can always play Beat demo if you get the urge until you get enough points to get it.

KnucklesSonic8

Supermarioman

Oh and nice review, even if it is short!

Off Topic: I'm listening to Glees cover of Dream On for some reason, its actually quite funny Especially when they hit the high notes, its freaking hilarious.

Supermarioman

Supermarioman

My only concern is Core, I've heard a lot of negative things about it, especially from Chicken, and others as it being worst and most frustrating, how is that, just wondering.
