I've been noticing on various sites that some games are now being developed for the Wii and the PS3's Move, with the Xbox 360 left out (presumably) because of the sharp difference in motion control technology. These include that Aragorn's Quest game and EA Sports Active 2.0. I'm wondering if we will start seeing a trend of games developed for the Wii and PS3 together--even though the graphics will be very different. What effect would such a development have on the Wii's library? Could it help with the whole third-party support thing?
I'm just musing here, but I'd love to hear some thoughts.

Downloadable Titles: Yes Disc Titles: Usually, no. The technology is much different, so for disc games devs will make it specifically for the platform. Downloadable titles won't need that.

No, the first wave will be Wii/Ps3 but then they'll just go to PS3 for the second wave even if the thing flops. Most publishers are trying to get excuses to keep the investors off their back because they don't want to make Wii games.

Well guess what? Apperantly IGN found out from a few developers who are currently working on Natal have said Natal sucks and it's buggy as hell and extremely hard to work on. While Matt C from IGN said based on his hands on with Sony Move is that it's inferior to the Wii remote since it's laggy and none of the demo's offered fantastic controls seen in Metroid Prime 3(for ex) But these things can all easily change before both products are released...Another thing that's a let down is that apperantly both Natal and Sony Move games will be running at 30 frames per second max...While Nintendo games are rocking at 60fps.
I thaught sony and MS's products we're supposed to bring the technology further, not backwards.
So maybe Nintendo has been right all along about not using cameras as part of motion control....
Interesting impressions. Obviously the Wii's motion control is not perfect, but good developers have done some amazing things with it even without Motion Plus. I also think the simple fact that the Wii comes with motion control built in gives it a big advantage.
I will stick with Nintendo either way. Even though I sometimes get frustrated with their odd decisions regarding things like data storage and online, their games are amazingly fun.

Well then, that must be why they are aren't going to be released for around six months.
The Game.
Is it after 9PM EST? You should probably ignore the above post.
Sony still shouldn't of demo'd their product if it's performing Laggy and inferior to the Wii Remote especially when that head honcho at Sony is saying it's an improvement. And for now, we already know it has one big disadvantage for the frame rate freaks out there(like me) is that their games can't bust past the 30fps mark which is dissapointing.
But what matters is what is here now....Wii Remote with MotionPlus. There's no lag, and Many wii titles run at 60fps.

Well, they have to let people try it at some point. It is releasing this year, they can't just not show anything, then expect people to buy it right away. And that head honcho at Sony is always saying things that makes them sound like gaming gods compared to the competition, when most of it isn't true.

When really, Sony is nothing but Imitation Gods You should read IGN's new Article with Reggie, his response about Sony Move was ,"So, if imitation is the most sincere form of flattery then I am blushing I'm so flattered"
Frankly, I wish Natal to succeed. They're doing something different and if it works (and doesn't suck like IGN said) then good for them. it's this unbelievable rip off of Sony that boggles my mind.. I really can't believe they're actually releasing this Move+not nunchuk. Wasn't PS3 a really good console before in their opinion? Wasn't their DualAnalog controller "the best"? If they release Killzone3 with WII CONTROLS, does this mean that killzone2 was shit? not current gen stuff? that's what it sounds like to me. They'll basically admit that The Conduit is better, that Modern Warfare Relfex is better than Modern Warfare 1/2 etc. but on topic, I was thinking the same, Wii could get more 3rd party games now, and this all thing could be good for the Wii. Now, when is sony releasing the SONY BALANCE BOARD?

Will it help the Wii? It really depends if the Sony's Move suceeed. If so, then no, it'll easily hurt the Wii. If it fails, then third-party support could be going back to the Wii.
I'm leaning towards yes.
@RandomWiiPlayer: When Sonic the Hedgehog was reveiled at E3 2006, there was complaints of bad controls scheme when the demo was played. Then came November, 2006 (Xbox 360) and February, 2007 (Playstation 3) and it still sucked.
It's possible that the Sony's Move will have the same problem when it is finally release. Couple that with it being a Nintendo Wiimote's rip-off and you got an likely failure.
Sony is ridiculous...In the beginning of the PS3, they ditched 'Rumble' in their controller and said it was 'last Gen'....What were they smoking!? But we all know it was because of some law suit going on. Anyways, then they dissed Nintendo's innovative controller and said if gamers want a real hardcore experience they will go to the PS3. Yet NOW they've clearly ripped off the Wii Remote....Sony can't innovate, they just want a piece of Nintento's $$$$$$$ PIE!
Reggie was DEAD on in that IGN Interview. Nintendo always Innovates while the other 2(sheep)rip them off. It's always been that way.
Nintendo created the D-Pad, the 4 button layout, the shoulder buttons, the Analog Stick, Rumble, Touch sensitive L and R buttongs, Videogame Touch screen controls, Hand held videogames, Motion Controls ect.
What has Sony created? NOTHING....At leas MS Pioneered Online Videogaming. But seriously....I can't take Sony and MS seriously.
PS: The only cool thing Sony has come up with....and it's not an Innovation at all but just a different style of layout...Are the Square, X, O and triangle symbols for their Buttons

1) The Eyetoy, well not that great, makes them a pioneer of camera-based gaming (+ what RWP said) 2) You realize that M$ just copied the Dreamcast with that "innovation" (and before you say that it had more online options, Propeller Arena was going to have the same thing, except the project had to be canceled before X-box Live was out).

The Dreamcast also had a camera didn't it? and there was an infrared camera available for the NES.

MS took online gaming to a whole new level, have to give them credit for that. Sony pioneered the dual analog (admittedly after bring out the SNES-like PS pad, and then adding 2 N64 analog sticks...) and helped implement disc-based media (something Sony had been working on with Nintendo, although I still think Nintendo made the right choice by going with cartridges on the N64 - check out the load times on the PSOne!). Other than that, a lot of innovating (as well as the proper implementation and commercialization of innovative ideas) was done by Nintendo: rumble pack, analog control, save options, etc etc etc

What are these touch sensitive L and R buttongs you speak of? What do you do with left and right tongs for the butt? I am not understanding you, and if I am, I am being disturbed by the images of the mind that I am having.
