So the wii can have Jett Rocket, which pushed the whole idea of a download game, but not Scott Pilgrim? I mean, just by looks alone, and Ive played Jett Rocket, but I highly doubt that Scott Pilgrim has more file size than that. And thats just one of several wiiware games
Don't judge a book by its cover. And if your saying Jett Rocket pushed the whole idea of downloadable games, I am offended for those companies who make games so much better than that game.

so a techno-y sounding song was changed completely to sound the exact same quality but a bit more techno-y.
That's nice.
Slightly different and the Wii is more like what I would expect on a Genesis. Clearly the music is ruined!!!1111!11! That's nothing. Especially compared to actually ruined music ports like DKC GBA or something.
I think I've proven like 5 people definitively wrong in the last 24 hours. Cool.

Except most changed music for game ports are worse. As in more than slight differences. The problem isn't better or worse the problem is there isn't enough of a difference for it to actually matter in any way.
Eh, I honestly think the Wii changes are hit and miss when it comes to the way the music sounds. Kinda like your example of the DKC GBA ports, I loved some of DKC3's new music.
No, Wiiware has a limit of 40 mb. Therefore it is less...

I once got a Wiiware game that took up 320 blocks. Is that over 40mb?
1 block is right around 128 KB (or 1024 Kb).

I'm a fan of the comics, and can't wait for the movie, and when I saw the game was a classic beat-em up, I just wanted to know when it would come out for wiiware. Apparently, it never will, since it's only for PSN and Xbox Live.
Yeah, it sucks. When it comes to downloads Nintendo just doesn't have the content and they don't want it. Just try to remind yourself why it was you bought a Wii in the first place. That's what I do.

They don't want the content? How do you know this? Do you work for Nintendo? Are you Reggie's right-hand man?
Yeah, didn't think so

You don't need to work for Nintendo to see what's happening on the Wii. Don't ask me why but Xbox Live and PSN keep securing games like Scott Pilgrim and more. You can blame it on a 40MB size limit but there are many old games out there that Nintendo could secure for the Wii. I just read on IGN a study found only 6% of gamers download games-that's not very many. That 6% doesn't matter enough to get Nintendo moving.

I'm still iffy about those marks. A month ago if you asked me if I had downloaded content in the last 3 months, I would've said "no". Doesn't mean I never download anything, it just means nothing came out in the last 3 months that I want. And wasn't that survey just about DLC? That's what I thought it was about.
I love how people can make judgments about filesize by looking at two completely dissimilar games.
Simply put--the game is over 100mb on PSN. Granted--Sonic, Megaman 10, and everything else is substantially larger size-wise vs. its Wiiware equivalents, but I don't think the developers want to curb the quality/fidelity of the music (which is where I'm guessing the filesize comes from, as the sprite presentation can't be too filesize-heavy) or release a game on a platform very few people utilize. It costs devs time/money to port, not to mention the actual licenese to release content on Wiiware...back when I entertained the notion of giving Wiiware a shot, the licenses were something on the order of $10-$15k USD...Given that they'd need to sell 1500 copies at 10 bucks to make Nintendo $15,000 on it (they prob get 10% of that, meaning they'd need to sell more like 15,000 to even start cutting a profit), I doubt they're interested in taking the risk.
**EDIT - I pulled the 10% directly out of my anus. No idea what the actual percentage is.
@Mickey - there's the difference. PSN just kind of finds ways for me to want games more often than every 3 months. Be that sales on pre-existing games, more varied game concepts with more polish, etc. But yeah--I don't think I've ever gone more than a month, MAYBE a month and a half between PSN purchases. Wiiware...I can't even remember the last time I bought something. Prob Rage of the Gladiator or Cave Story...don't remember which.
I wish this was on wiiware. Wiiware has some great games but we lose out on some great games because of the stupid filesize limit. Why did nintendo give wiiware and dsiware those size limits. Do psn and xbla even have size limits? I hope nintendo don't have size limits with the download services on their next consoles and if they do, I hope they give them significantly higher size limits.

XBLA and PSN do not have File size limits. Their systems also have stupidly huge hard drives.
Then , explain me why the HD remake of Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath made by Just Add Water won't be in XBLA because JAW said it can't be because of the XBLA size limit.

Ah, right, I keep forgetting that they simply raised the limit to a number that they figured would encouter the least amount of problems. 2 GB according to this source. Apparantly it's the technical limit for the system, while the Games on Demand uses a different file structure which can get around that somehow.
I hate that Scott Pilgrim winter theme, I herd it so many times while playing the game at my friend's house it got irritating. That and he kept making me loose and had to keep playing over and over.
