@Xkhaoz: You shouldn't even be on a forum if you're not allowed to play T games! You have to be 13+ to go on forums (most of them anyways).
Not necessarily, some parents just see "Teen" as a red flag. I remember my mom didn't want me and my older sister to see PG-13 films when we were younger.

I am absolutely loving this game. Strongly recommended. The only "negative" thing is that it really requires an investment of time...it's by no means a pick up and play kind of game.
Which is not a bad thing, but probably worth knowing in advance.
A quick question: is there any reason I shouldn't keep working through the night with my royal guard? When the sun goes down I tend to head back to the kingdom, dismiss everyone, and go to bed...but that's probably just my Pikmin conditioning. Is there any reason I shouldn't just push on til the day?
Also: no spoilers, please, but when you choose your queen later on, do you choose her from among your villagers? Because I've got one in mind and I'm trying to keep her alive just in case.
@Chicken Brutus: I'm so glad to hear that you finally bought this game and are enjoying it! I was actually wondering the very same thing as you. I try to get as much done in the span of a day as possible and return to town before the crack of dawn. I care about my little citizens! There has been a couple of times where my tasks have carried over into the next day but I haven't seen any consequences for these actions yet. It gets really tough trying to get everything done in just one day! Unfortunately, I haven't had much time with the game recently as I've been busy. I hope to remedy that tonight!
@Chicken: I'm not sure, I just know they'd be unhappy and sulk lots, trudging back home. That was enough to make me think twice before staying out late. But of course, it happens now and again, they gotta EARN there wages some days. Where are up to if you don't mind me asking?
Yeah, I got a nasty letter from some soldier I overworked. He was a jerk. I think I'll put him on special "human shield" duty...
I just beat the Onii King, who killed two of my men in the process. Fortunately the battle was too heated for me to notice who they were...earlier on I was fighting mushrooms for spare gold and somehow Travis got killed. Just seeing his name scroll across the bottom of the screen made me feel awful...I went to the beach the next day to see if I could find him there...and he wasn't there. What a sad thing. I think he's the first "original" Royal Guardsman who didn't make it home.
This really is a great game. Very charming, and very passively dark. (One of my townspeople said, "World domination for the win!" to me...way to make me feel like I'm playing Little Fuhrer's Story.)
So now that I've met Princess Apricot I guess I don't get to choose a wife from the townsfolk. Sorry, Letty. Still not going to risk taking you into battle, though...
@Chicken: Yay, glad you are a fan, and you've hardly started I'm so jealous! I too had a few special folk I wanted no harm to come to, brought about by that horrible realisation that sometimes, death means DEATH.
I awarded Matt (my namesake and best buddy in Alpoko) the Pancho Poncho (you'll understand when you acquire it) and then still left him at home while I went out to battle, ha!
@Ramadandus: Yeah, I know that; I replaced them with the only other option, that weird patchwork picture of the king. But I don't yet know how you go about getting more art, and I DEFINITELY don't know how it "pays off."

I've been a little broke so I got My Life As a Dark Lord instead over the weekend. I'm enjoying it. but I want THIS game. Seems like everyone here loves it.
