@WolfRamHeart: What I find strange is all the review site's give it 8s and 9s, a quality game, but nothing special, but all the Nintendo fans who have played this say it's
8 and 9s are special though. There are some problems with it that might annoy some, but so far it is one of my favourite games this gen. Comes down to persons taste.
Yeah you'll get really good at pressing d-down , and the camera isn't perfect but never a problem, some people complained about having to go home to save, but if you're miles from home you can whizz back by pausing and hitting 2, very handy.
As for how many villagers there are? No spoilers from me soz.
1 tip though, it's all about retreating at the right time (to avoid attacks), then chuck 'em back in.
It's one of the best I've ever played, let alone on Wii. I've made 3 people I know buy it, and they all thanked me. It's a unique game, 'a shooting game, with humans for bullets' as the creator described it, it deserves the kudos, and it's getting quite a bit from reviewers across the board which is good to see. I also want it to do well so Rising Star and Xseed keep publishing awesome games no-one else is brave enough too.
I agree. There may be a few small problems with the game but it still is a fantastic game. Just because its not perfect doesn't mean that you won't enjoy it. I wouldn't rate this game any lower than a 9.
I'd give the game a 9 so far. It's good but it's not a 10. I'm only about 5 or 6 hours into it.
The only thing really hard is the boss battles because you have to have strategy. You send your troops into battle and sometimes you have to call them back to reduce damage. Some of the troops have a small amount of life so they die quickly.
It does remind me of Harvest Moon because of the simulation aspect, but I have not played Pikmin so I don't know how similar to that it would be.
Somebody set up us the bomb. Wii: 8703 7486 8875 3789 I love PWN3NG NintendoLife members on Tatsunoko :-)
I've been really thinking about trying this game, the only thing thats putting me off is the difficulty. I'm not usually a fan of strategy games, though I did enjoy PIkmin on the cube. and I'm just not very good at them. Is there an easy mode in this game (wimp ,I know) or is the normal difficulty not too bad. I really like the art style and humour, from videos I've watched and I liked Harvest Moon, Tesco are currently selling it for £17 so should I get it???
@Prosody: Welcome back, it is good to see you on the site again! Yes, I did manage to get one of those cute, squishable Onii toys with my pre-order and I'm very glad I was able to get one. Sadly, I wasn't able to get an extra one for you. I was the only person who pre-ordered the game at my store so they just received one Onii. I'm really sorry about that. I hope that you aren't too disappointed.
