Topic: Which Mega Man should I start with?

I have never played a Mega Man game, but I'd like to start. Being the complete noob that I am at these games at this moment, which one should I start with? I heard 2 was supposed to be easier, and that 1 is brutal. But what about 3 and 4? Could someone help me out? Thanks.

I herd Mega Man 2 is the most fun to play.
But the only Mega Man game I played was Mega Man 10. and it was real easy to beat

Start with 2. It's the easiest, the most famous, and also the best.

Uhhhhh the first?? You always start out with the first game of a series like Phoenix Wright. If you skip Megaman 1 and then play Megaman 2 then that tells you Dr Wily lost in Megaman 1.

what do you think? megaman dies at the end of 1 and continues to fight like 72 more robot masters after that?

No telling how the clueless parents/children new to megaman think.

Mega Man doesn't have a very in-depth storyline. Starting off at 2 or even 9 wouldn't matter just note that the same thing happens in every game.

Mega Man 2 and 10 are the best to start with.

Don't get 9 as it's much worse than the others at twice the price. 2 is a good place to start, 3 and 4 are much better, but harder.

playing megaman games is just like playing Mario. the story doesn't matter.

1 is brutal. Newcomers need not apply.

I would suggest either Mega Man 2 or 3.

Just start with 1, then give up and move on to 2. The rest are far too difficult for novices, IMO.

But if you might be interested in the story why not just, you know? Pay attention, lol.

Nope MM9 is like "Hey gamers we don't like you much, have some poorly designed levels full of death traps, and not fun, then fight some ugly bosses"

To be honest I don't enjoy any of the robot master stages, I've only played up through Wily 2. I don't remember much of the two aside from really not liking them.

Also the removal of the slide was a terrible move, back to generic run and gunning again...
The removal of charge shot is acceptable, I enjoyed it, but it's not a substantial change.
