Well, I was able to transfer the special Pikachu, Electivire and Magmortar to my Diamond, Platinum and SoulSilver games, so probably. I didn't actually use my Platinum and SS to get pokemon for the battle passes, as my Diamond had about five times as many awesome pokemon as my Platinum and SS combined.

Pearl, Diamond, Platinum, HeartGold and SoulSilver are all compatible. However Origin Forme Giratina will revert to Altered Form (the Griseous Orb will not be carried), Rotom will appear in its normal form, and Spiky-Eared Pichu will appear as a standard Pichu.
