I'd have to go with Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbaros' Treasure. Its the most awesome game that apparently nobody played!

What are you talking about, that game is critically acclaimed, it's called the best third party title on the Wii, although that's not saying much.

Actually, it's not and the sales numbers show otherwise.

I'm one of the six gamers on the face of the earth that actually loves Wii Music. It's a very deep game--I've poured hours into it, tweaking each song to my liking. It never got a fair chance.

Wario Land Shake It was a great platformer, and so was de Blob. Also there's this little known game I have that no one ever talks about. Its called Mario Galaxy.

I agree that most critics recognized how good Zack & Wiki was but ask most people about it and they'll probably say "what's Zack & Wiki?". It didn't get the sales it deserved despite getting mostly favorable reviews. It seems that Excitebots may now share the same fate as Zack & Wiki. I just find it sad when good games go unrecognized by the general public. For me, this constitutes Zack & Wiki as an underrated game.

I too loved Zack & Wiki. Great game and very under-appreciated.

Plain old gamer :)

WolfRamHeart

Yes, perhaps I should have rephrased that as underappreciated instead of underrated. I stand corrected!

Make that 7. It's one of my favorite games, and something I'd been waiting on for quite some time -- finally, a music game that actually involves playing with the music itself and with musical ideas, instead of the Guitar Hero model of falling button prompts, which is what I always dubbed "DDR for the physically lazy." It's rather unbelievable how inept most reviewers were with regards to this title (Nintendo Life was one of the few who understand the game, kudos!). It just proved the suspicion that the hardcore gaming fans of Rock Band / Guitar Hero in the gaming press actually know absolutely nothing about music, and blame the game itself when they can't manage to create anything musically interesting, which is a far more difficult task for your musical ear than anything else in a video game.

Twitter is a good place to throw your nonsense.

I also enjoy Wii Music (I'll have to put some more time into it soon); others that got slated which I enjoy: Star Trek Conquest, Rampage Total Destruction, Godzilla Unleashed (I sense a trend), Marvel Ultimate Alliance.

Nascar Kart Racing. It's much more balanced than Mario Kart, and overall it just feels really good. I had a lot more fun with it than Mario Kart Wii, and the only thing I found lacking was online play. Here's hoping for a sequel!

I am SO glad to see other people appreciate Wii Music. I mean, its a music game thats actually about... making music. Reviewers are too worried about maintaining their image as a hardcore gamer to give these games a chance. Why this is I will never understand.

The most underrated game for me has to be the Wii version of Sonic Unleashed. It's an amazing game, combining perfect daytime superspeed runs with excellent nightime brawling. I cannot believe wjy the critics panned it just because it has Werehog in it.

Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity, to all reviewers, THE GAME CONTROLS FINE.

I know, right? It's isn't a GREAT game, but it's not bad. Then again, it's sonic, and anything sonic is bad no matter what. Also, I fu**ing liked Sonic and the Black Knight! So screw you, reviewers (other then NintendoLife reviewers, of course)!

I bought BlastWorks for $20 dollars because of all the good reviews ... I played it a couple times and, even at 20 bucks, I thought it was a waste of money. It's just so boring, and they say the editor mode makes up for that, NO IT FU**ING DOESN'T! Maybe as a wiiware game it would have been alright, but a full price (on release, I got mine long after the game was released) game is just a ripoff.

Actually, the wii version was more well recieved then the Xbox 360 and PS3 version. The Wii one recieved an average of around 8.0, well the PS3 and 360 versions recieved an average of 3.5. Anyways, I love that game too, though I hate the "double tap in a direction to run" in the werehog levels as it makes it hard to navigate slowly without dashing right off a ledge.

I'd have to say Godzilla Unleashed is my favorite. It's great fun, especially in multiplayer.

EDIT: Kay, super smash bros fan1999, your damn name won't let me quote you!

Sonic Unleashed version are a little closer then you think. The PS3 version has a 54 from Metacritics, the 360 version has a 60, and the WIi version has a 66 on Metacritics.

I really don't go by reviews. I tend to just look up gameplay videos and see what I like and dislike about the game. When I read reviews, I do the same thing. Just read about the pros and cons of the game and see if their things I can deal with. Still, kinda strange to see a Wii game recieve generally better reviews then the 360/PS3 variants, though I do love the wii.

Also, quick note, everyone here, go pick up Boom Blox Bash Party. It's epic.

Super Swing Golf Season 2.
The Japanese anime aesthetic is awesome. I dont like golf really but it has an arcade-y feel to it even though its pretty deep. Wii controls are cool I love it.

Eureka seveN changed my life.

Charlie_The_Unicorn

Call me crazy, but Family Table Tennis.

It is just a fun little casual game package with fun minigames.

Tomena Sanner: Because dancing businessmen are awesome.

I'd have to say RedSteel is my favourite underrated Wii game. People kept complaining about the controls, but I had no problems with it. I was pulling off headshots left and right. Also, I liked the fact I could hold my gun "gangsta" style. Even the swordfighting got fun in the later levels when you had more moves to use. Can't wait for a sequel!

Now playing:
(Wii - DJ Hero 2) (WiiWare / VC - -- / --)
(Game Cube - Second Sight) (DS / GBA - Eragon / --)
(Xbox360 - Burnout Paradise) (XBLA / XBIG - Puzzle Quest / --)
