Topic: The Final Fantasy III/VI (SNES) fan thread WARNING SPOILERS LIKELY!!!

I'm creating this fan thread so we can discuss our favorite characters/moments or even make fan stories based on FF III/VI (SNES) to fuel the excitement of its upcoming VC release!!

I have the SNES cart, which just recently got the battery replaced

Currently at South Figaro, and loving it so far

Oh yeah, I'm also recording my progress for a YouTube playthrough, but the first videos won't be up until I get to 10hrs, because I have to finalize the DVD-R and all D:

I've always loved this but sadly I never did get around to finishing it. Soon I'll finally have another chance to redeem myself for neglecting this game all these years. I may just break out my FF IV the after years in preparation.
Can't wait to download this one!

I doubt we'll be seeing this one any time soon. Final Fantasy I & IV took several months to make their way out of Japan.

Why though? That's what I don't understand. WHY do we need to wait sooo long to get these games??? It's not like they're translating them or anything?!

I think it took a year for both FF and FFIV(II) to get to Europe's VC after they were first released in Japan. Gah.

Who knows. Maybe we might actually get this one earlier but I'm not holding my breath.

It won't happen soon enough, they are still selling the ports ... Oh wait ...
They aren't ! They ported it only twice !

Nice thread concept. This has got to be my Number 1 favorite RPG of all time. The story and characters are just downright amazing.

I can only hope they make a remake on the 3DS.

Is it just me or is Kefka even Crazier than Sephiroth

How is that a Spoiler? I mean really, anyone with general knowledge of the game should know that Kefka is in it

Kefka was a way better villian than Sephiroth. He was just crazy and so unpredictable. I remember the first I was playing the Esper factory and the chills I got from hearing Kefkas laugh. IMO this was the best Final Fantasy ever. After this one the series just went down hill.

Although the game is great, it is fundamentally flawed. Blind effectively doesn't work and if your M.Evade is 128% you are technically invincible from any attack.

I might not call it amazing, but it's my favorite Final Fantasy. Mainly because the adventure doesn't spill over to outer space.

@Starlight The FF games have never been known for balance. They're basically angst-filled power trips.

That took me a long time to accept, and along with the stupid story made it hard for me to like it, and I still kinda hold it as my least favorite Final Fantasy game. Hopefully that'll change by the time I get it for the VC.

Oh come on. The first Final Fantasy has you fighting a dragon on board a space station. If you could swallow that then Final Fantasy VI should be a treat.
