I brought Texas Hold’em poker and it's good! Could do with more people online as its hard to find a game now but hopefully that will improve. 600 points its a great buy and might push a 7 or so on its review I would think. Need more people to try out online some more. Who's in? Texas Hold’em poker: 1033-0252-3598 Cheers
Have you tried Texas Hold'em Tournament? If so, can you compare the two? If not, what are your praises and complaints for the game? How's the online setup?
No sorry, I haven't played tournament, I avoided it because of the lack of a cash game option, the odd looking graphics and the mediocre reviews. Texas Hold’em poker has good presentantion, good options, fun poker parodies in its presentation and characters (parodies of famous players) which will be amusing to the poker fan. The online options I've only so far played cash games, there just isn't the numbers so far to get a tournament going unless you have a organized friends roster. There is also online rankings, so far I'm sitting 46/486 without playing much. The cash games run smoothly and also had the option of fun comments and taunts you could make. If it gets the numbers it looks like the online element has alot of potential. Well worth the 600 points in my opinion. Up for a game right now?
What about the presence of Tournaments online? Is there offline multiplayer? (Probably not, but just asking.) What other modes are available for offline play? Any good options/customization abilities?
Overall, it sounds great from what you're telling me! I'd play but NA doesn't have the game yet.
Tournaments online but there's not enough players to get one going (at least in my timezone) and no offline multiplayer. Options offline are career which involves cash games and tournaments, or quick game which can also be either. Options to customize is all just pretty standard stuff. Cheers
I bought and tried THP yesterday and no matter what the reviews say I personally think that the online part is not that bad at all. THP online seems to work better than in the THT where it took ages to get into a match. Also in THP you can invite friends to join your current table etc...
I'll update my signature with THP friendcode when I get home so add me to your friend list if you wish. (Btw. my timezone is EEST (GMT+3)...)

Sounds good, mrPlow. And Chriso, don't worry about the review itself. The reviewer didn't seem to like the idea of Texas Hold'em getting turned into a game in the first place so I'm sure that people that are genuinely interested in it would enjoy it.
I actually have no problem with the idea of a game based around Texas Hold 'em; at least you're not blowing real money (well, outside of the points spent to buy the game). I do expect the game to be more diverting than the solitaire game that comes with my iPod though...
Sean remember some people find Solitaire more diverting than others do. Your comments about the ante's, hand building and bluffing really do show a lack of understanding of how hold'em is played. It might be luck of the draw or region releases which dictate who reviews a game but it would be nice if reviews (particularly of games aimed at a niche market) could be reviewed by someone who enjoyed the genre and understood the game.
Cash game is just referring to standard play where there is no rising blinds and you can come and go from the table as you please. THT you can only play tournaments, THP has tournament or cash games (all only virtual cash of course.) Cheers
@KnucklesSonic8: If I could I would be delighted to send you my copy of this game. Come on Nintendo, that function would be all good to everyone. Without having played them both I believe that THEP is better than THET but it´s still just not good enough. If it wasn´t resided on my sd card it would surely collect some dust. We need a better Holdem game. The screenshots all look good but playing it.... This truly feels like a mobile phone port.
